K'NEX - Click & Construct Value Building Set - 522 Pieces, STEM Building, Creative Play Set‚ Ages 7+

These were smaller than I was prepared for. Smaller than both the other sets I bought my grandson & so he as a little trouble connecting the smaller pieces. However, now he can share with his cousin, which was my intent, & they allow for a lot of creativity. On the up side he can grow into the smaller pieces.

K'nex are wonderful toys for the young with imagination. This set is a great starter set and the tote has enough room for adding more sets.K'nex are traditionally small pieces and don't look like much in the tote. This set includes over 500 pieces. These pieces and a little imagination can build much out of them.

Got these for my newly turned 5year old for his birthday. Already a big hit! They are a tad difficult to snap together at first but he got the hang of it quickly.The box is very big for the amount of pieces and does look underwhelming when you see the bottom but there is definitely 500+ pieces. Prespective of 500 marbles in a bath tub vs a mixing bowl would look very different but that doesn't mean there are less pieces in the tub. It even says in the description that the container is large so you can easily store half done creations to come back and work on again.I have 3 qualms. We inventoried them and we were missing a single piece and unfortunately it was a crucial piece to making 5 of the 10 creations that have step by step instructions. There is one piece that in the parts key and the instructions that is yellow but the physical piece is actually red. The third is that the booklet says to go to a website for missing pieces and it doesn't seem to be a legit website anymore.Not a qualm but just to share the info, when counting out all the pieces we had actually had 6 shapes that combined had 7 EXTRA pieces are well.

My son is obsessed with Lego, I got him these to see if he would enjoy the creative build options and it worked out!

I liked that we were able to order online and have delivered, because none of the LOCAL STORES sold this toy/item.....A gift for my nephew, he loved it.

They're accurate that it's 522 pieces (probably), but the size of the container is very misleading. The pieces dont even cover the entire bottom of the tub they come in and there's not enough main pieces to build anything fun or use your imagination. It's like 95% little rings and tiny pieces (not sure what they're for since they don't fit into the regular kinex). You're pretty much just limited to the things in the book that it comes with unless you buy extra pieces and combine them. Also kind of hard to snap together for younger kids, but that's not a design flaw, it's just how they're created.
