Good purchase
Was looking for a controller with the old PS2 button lay out and this fit the bill. Never know what you'regoing to get with a retro item. But I'm very happy with this controller. Good purchase.

Finera Wired Controller Compatible with Sony PS2/Playstation2 Dual Shock Console
I've bought many different kinds of replacement controllers aside from the original Sony brand from smashing them in anger and frustration but this one is probably the best in quality and comfort in hand. Other brands I've purchased have had the buttons on the controllers stick or difficult to press or hold down but not this one. Everything feels smooth and easy when using the buttons during gaming. And it feels good in your hand as in it cradles perfectly and doesn't slip out like some other controllers that seem to be smaller and are likelier to slip out at the wrong moments during gaming. The price isn't bad and arrived pretty fast and will probably buy another one if I don't smash this current one after my goof ups during gaming.

Good now.
Received it and it seemed fine, but while playing Jak 3 and holding down R1 in a vehicle to fire, it would occasionally jump as if I pressed the L1 button. Returned for a replacement to give it one more try. If the replacement doesn't work, I'm going to just pay a little extra for a Sony controller.Update: Received the replacement and it seems to work just fine, so I'm satisfied with my purchase now. It still cost 1 star for the inconvenience of having to replace it, but I didn't go below 4 because it works well now.

Doesn't for on original ps2
Did not fit into my original ps2. Either defective or not made for real ps2

Does the job, but won’t hold up to everyday play for longer than a few weeks
Joysticks are very cheap and lefty broke immediately. I glued it back on and it’s actually been fine since then. It’s just flimsy with a very light, cheap feel, but would probably work for a secondary controller to be used when friends come over in the year 2006.
