Such a great book and it’s a beautiful shelf trophy

Beautiful book and a great story. If you love practical magic, you will absolutely adore this book. I had listened to this book on audio, but had to have the collectors edition copy for the author to sign. Not to mention, this author has a wonderful website for any aspiring writers, which is an added bonus!

This is such a heart-warming story of finding the courage to follow your true path, no matter how difficult making the decision and taking the necessary steps might be. Penner blends two timelines together beautifully and has such incredible closure in BOTH of them. 5 stars for me!

This is a beautiful Special Edition copy of one of my favorite books. I listened to the audiobook a couple of years ago and have been collecting editions since. Review is below.The Lost Apothecary is such an intriguing book with two storylines (present day & late 1700’s) that seemingly intertwine the lives of the three female main characters. Narration alternates between Nella, “a 1790’s female apothecary who secretly dispenses poisons to liberate women from the men who wronged them”, Eliza, a twelve-year old patron of Nella’s, and Caroline, the modern day, husband-pleasing, aspiring historian who spends her 10th wedding anniversary alone in London. While mud larking, Caroline finds an old apothecary bottle that sends her on a life changing journey to find the lost apothecary.There are only two rules as an apothecary:Rule #1: The poison must never be used to harm another woman.Rule #2: The names of the murderer and her victim must be recorded in the apothecary’s register.I genuinely loved listening to this book. I found myself lost in the story for hours on end — not wanting to pause it for much of anything. While it could be a bit confusing with the three different narrations, I found it added more to the mystery of the novel than it took away. I will definitely be checking out The London Seance Society by Sarah Penner as soon as I can!

Beautiful 😍

Honestly, a favourite of mine so far this year. I loved the concept of it although some aspects could’ve been left out while others expanded upon. Overall, I really enjoyed the idea of the past affecting the future lives of others in ways that may or may not be profound.
