First things first. The trimmer is awesome. It’s smooth and comfortable. Incredibly easy to use and simple to maintain. It has acceptable battery life. It really is an awesome product for the price. I’ve always been a big fan of other Panasonic electronics and they delivered again here. The trimmer’s functionality is outstanding.Unfortunately, the package is held back by one (YMMV) flaw. The charger. It’s a heavyish base station design but with no cord. It just plugs directly into the wall and the trimmer sits vertically above it when plugged in. It’s awkward to say the least. I have to charge it in my bedroom because that’s literally the only outlet in my house capable of the task.Despite the charger I really do like the trimmer. The value and functionality more than make up for the wonky charger. I would recommend this trimmer for sure provided you have a capable outlet to charge it.

Very good beard and body clippers so far. I charged it once and in the 5 or 6 weeks I have had it, for goatee and some body hair, I have not needed to recharge it again

Pros: Ergonomic, easy to handle, has one piece for length setting. The hypoallergenic blades don't leave a razor burn, even in sharp angles this trimmer is good for sensitive skin.Cons: It doesn't quite get close enough shave 0.5mm (feels longer than that, closer to 1mm) and the blade has relatively small cutting area.It has an atrocious battery, a cheaper nickel metal hydride (NiMH) instead of the more expensive but longer lasting and more reliable lithium ion; battery life (usually around 40 to 50 minutes) would be fine except for the fact it takes 20 hours to fully charge. If you usually charge your trimmer overnight this might not sound all that bad, but if you plan to make this your workhorse trimmer or clipper then you will find yourself wanting for a longer lasting battery with a much shorter charging time. Notice the charging time is not advertised. Neither is the fact that you must oil the blade before and after each shave for it to have a good degree of efficiency. All of this would be understandable for a cheaper, no brand model, but the fact that this trimmer appears on several "best trimmer" online lists, is one the flagship trimmers for Panasonic and is priced relatively high on the cost scale for similar products results in an overly-hyped, well-marketed, second rate product which Panasonic spent lots of money of making look good but very little in making it practical and efficient.
