3 weeks in: 5 stars
I’ve had the x30 for 3 weeks now and it’s exceeded my expectations:App: there’s definitely a learning curve to the app. It’s worth taking your time to figure it out. It can be a little confusing but once you get it, it has everything. There are some things that I would like the app to improve on, but hopefully they’ll continue to make improvements. It’s nothing that affects the performance. The robot itself: I have both tile and carpet, and it does well in learning the different surface areas. My tile floor has to get cleaned in a certain direction, and the app lets you set that which is awesome. There are a lot of cleaning options (quick clean vs deep clean etc) to fit your specific needs. They’re all pretty good depending on what you need that day, I never felt like I had to clean after it.It can’t quite get my whole house on a single charge, but that’s also because I customize all of my settings. I don’t use the generic clean setting, so I spend a lot of time setting exactly how I want it to clean, but that’s a choice.Overall, I got this to save time and it has definitely accomplished that. It’s very worth the money. I researched the x30 vs x40 and x50, and for the price, the x30 meets all my needs. The black design matches the rest of my home and it’s modern looking, so fits in nicely.Tip: take out the dirty water often because it will stink BAD.

Best cleaning elf that works while I sleep!!!
I don't normally write reviews. We had our first robot vac probably 12 years ago. It did not work well at all. This Dreame Bot X30 Ultra is the best purchase we have made in a long time. Technology can be overwhelming to me sometimes but this truly was easy to set up and start using. Follow the Before Use instructions, download the app, connect device with wifi, allow it to fully charge and then hit the Mapping button on the phone app and let it map out your house!! My wood floors shine every morning after it runs while we sleep. I typically run it every other night and I let it vacuum first and then come back and mop. The mop does an amazing job. Most mop vacs have a large pad on the entire bottom that just goes over your floors. The Dreame has 2 spinning mop heads and I feel it does an amazing job. The first time it cleaned my floors, it returned to the base station, cleaned the mop heads, dumped the dirty water and reloaded with hot, fresh water, a total of 5 times to get my floors clean. The dirty water was about 7" high in the brown dirty water container. Now, the dirty water is only about 1-2" every time since it mops every other night. We have an Australian Shepherd puppy. She is about 9 months old and has long hair. She does not shed alot, but she does shed. I have shoulder length hair and it ends up everywhere on the floors. The Dreame gets up everything and has had no issues with dog or human hair getting wrapped around the roller head. I bought the roller that is made to work better for not clogging from hair. I should return it, as the standard roller has had zero problems with hairs staying on the brush roller.A side bonus is that it helps me keep the house picked up and things off the floor. I reviewed many vacs before purchasing the DreameBot. I love it and am so glad I bought it!!

Big upgrade from my Roomba
Had a iRobot Roomba i7. Can't say I was unhappy with it, it picked up a lot of dirt and dust from my combination of hardwood, travertine, granite and rugs. Since most of my house is hard floors, I wanted to upgrade to a mopping robot vac. Did some research and decide to go with Dreame X30. I decided prior to it being released and most of the online reviews were not from people who paid for the product. Regardless, the X30 checked all the boxes and the previous Dreame products seemed to be well regarded. Only issues I read about were related to tech support. But I usually discount those reviews as only unhappy customers write those.Back to the actual product. Received the X30 via UPS. Much bigger box than I expected and the whole unit is larger than I expected. Setting it up was a breeze. I mean, seriously, could not have been easier. The app is fairly straightforward but does have A LOT more options than my Roomba did. After getting it plugged in a set up, I had it run a mapping cycle. Very fast map of the house created. I used to app to edit the room names, made some adjustments (very minor where it mapped outside of a glass sliding door). During the process, I noticed two things: 1) It didn't bump into walls. Roomba seemed to navigate based on bumping into everything and adjusting its path. The X30 got right up to the edge and didn't bump. Huge win for the X30. 2) The unit is so much quieter than the Roomba. With Roomba it seemed I couldn't run it if anyone was home. You can't talk on the phone or watch tv at a normal volume when the Roomba was close by. With the X30, it could be working right next to you and wouldn't bother you. Maybe it will, with time, as the contrast with the Roomba is a distant memory, it might seem loud. 3) It is able to clean the whole house in one charge. That was impossible with the Roomba. Roomba would recharge over and over again. Cleaning the house turned into a 5 hour process. Just when you think it is done, it starts up again. So all in all, the X30 probably cost twice as much than my Roomba when I originally bought it, but it is way more than twice the machine. One tip is to buy the extended warranty. Just for the piece of mind, if nothing else. I've read that if the unit fails, it is a long process to get a replacement. Easier to just spend a couple extra $$ and rest easy.Easy to recommend this product. I've also purchased the optional brush that takes care of hair tangles. I didn't mention that above as it is an extra purchase. But dog and daughter hair really clogged the Roomba and have no issues with that problem with the X30.
