Supremely comfortable but you'll probably need the optional wrist rests

I'm typing this review with the keyboard. It's accurate, comfortable to use, easy to adapt to, and pretty quiet for a full travel keyboard.I'm actually using it with a Mac and it works OK, so long as you don't need to use all the hotkeys. For Mac users in the UK you'll have to decide whether you want a Mac-specific keyboard in US format, or use the PC version with a UK layout. I guess it will pretty much come down to how much you'll need to adapt to the single height enter key on a US layout. More experimentation required for me before I decide on that.Build-wise it feels a little flimsy, particularly the pivot hinge. Not a patch on the Goldtouch ball approach to solving that, but do bear in mind that the Goldtouch doesn't fully separate so it will depend on whether you just need to pivot the keyboard or fully separate it.I was surprised to receive a USB keyboard as the product photo doesn't show a cable but on reading the product spec I can see that it states it's USB rather than Bluetooth. Just bear that in mind if Bluetooth is important for your use case.I'm definitely going to order the wrist rests for this keyboard as even though it's negative rise there's still quite a hop up to the keys, certainly compared to a thin membrane keyboard (I'm coming from an Apple Magic keyboard.Overall, very happy with it but with reservations. I wish Kinesis made a Mac version in a UK layout, then it would be perfect.

Bezt keyboard I've ever used

By far the best keyboard I've ever used. Its comfortable and afaptable to exactly how i want to use it. I agree that placement of keys could be improved (for me the delete key is too far up) but this you get used to; the keyboard in every other respect is outstanding!I think if you but it the accessory kit is critical to obtaining full benefit from the keyboard.

Great idea and very good product but there is room for improvement

4.5 Stars but I cannot give that rating.PRO:- Finally a good split keyboard for every day work use. Other models I saw were incredibly overpriced or too cheap, designed for travelling.- It's great for me as I'm broad-shouldered so I can type with my arms resting in a natural open position.- You can choose the angle at which you place each half of the keyboard.- The two halves leave a nice gap in-between them where I can put stuff like my phone, documents or a coffee mug.CONS:- Noticed an issue when you are typing fast and press more than two keys without lifting the finger from the first one. Only the second key press is accepted and not the third. For example if I type 'gre', I normally don't lift the finger on the 'g' and then the 'e' is not accepted. I don't think I have noticed such an issue with any of the keyboards I have used. It might be solved with a driver upgrade I guess.- I don't like the key layout too much and the keys could be bigger. For a software developer it is difficult to type a lot of special character sequences and key combinations.- The extra columns on the left might be a good idea but it is confusing and takes time to adjust to it. I barely use those shortcuts although I can understand the usefulness.- It is quite expensive on its own and since it is almost flat and not very comfortable, you are pretty much destined to purchase the tenting accessory which is good but also not great.Overall, very good and worth the purchase. I'm glad this product is available. Hopefully future models will be even better.

Works with Windows 7 and upwards

Love everything about this from the gentle noise of the keys to layout of the keys. It's so versatile in that you can have it clipped together like a normal keyboard, clipped and slightly apart and best of all use it as 2 separate key pads. It still leaves plenty of room for my mouse alongside it in the correct position. My arm pain is almost gone now since I started using this. It was a simple case of plug it in and away you go. Now I need one to use at home too, wish they had a special offer if you were buying 2 together !!!

Some keys don’t work right

Bought the keyboard a week ago. Noticing issues with some keys (t and n). If you type fast, they don’t register. Literally need to double tap it.There are some people on Reddit reporting similar issues so seems like a manufacturing problem.

Great design but don't last well for the price

Really good design, and the key strike feels perfectly fine, no real problems with any of that - any adapting I needed to do was well worth it for the benefits to wrist/arm pain that this split keyboard helps combat. It's great for that. However, for the price, I am VERY disappointed that after 3 months some of the keys started sticking, and now after 6 months, there are frequent problems with missing characters in Word and related cos especially. I'd expect somewhat better for the price - and, worse, having to check and go over writing counteracts much of the benefit of the split keyboard anyway. Ah well.

Brilliant

Without a doubt, the best ergonomic keyboard I've ever got. I suffer from severe RSI, so can't do a lot of typing, but I find I can do more typing with this keyboard than I can any other. Definitely worth getting if you want to protect your hands and wrists from RSI, or if you already have it, and want to limit it occurring.

Looked Great but Some Keys Didn't Work

I loved the look of this and the softer keys felt good. I've used ergonomic keyboards for years but wanted one with less clunky keys. Since the advent of soft touch keypads, clunky ol' ergonomic keyboards seem so dated! All was good with this keyboard until I needed the pound sign. Then I found that the Shift plus the keys 1, 2, 3 and 4 did not work. I could get by without number keys 1, 2, 3, and 4 by using the number pad 'inbuilt' as a function over various alpha keys but not without the shift and those number keys. I tried it with another device, in case the device was affecting it, but they still did not work. I was so disappointed :(
