Very pleased with this hedge trimmer. My husband managed to break my last lightweight corded hedge trimmer by cutiing through the cord then repairing it wrongly (I had only used it twice too!!), so I decided this time to go for cordless. Not being very strong, I need a lightweight one, so decided on this one being, I thought, the best compromise of power, weight and price.Have just trimmed a long hedge of laurel and rhodedendron (mostly), and it coped absolutly fine. It doesn't seem that powerful at first, but it did the job (obviously, the thicker, older branches need a lopper.) The charge lasted for ages- I was never forced to stop to charge it, though I did the hedge over 2 days and charged it in between. It was easy to move around and light enough for me to manage without my arms tiring. And, of course, the biggest bonus- no cord to cut through!! Very glad I chose this one.

Used on my shrubs really good product cuts through fair sized branches of shrubs with ease and extremely light weight and quiet motor very easy to use and excellent battery life top quality product would definitely recommend 👍

I was bought the long reach VonHaus trimmer for Christmas for those hard to reach places and was pretty impressed by it, it is slightly head heavy when fully extended but its ok. I needed to get rid of my corded hedge trimmer because i cut through the cord twice and thought the third time i accidentally do, I’m probably gonna get it, so because of the long reach one, went for this normal sized one.Went for the 20v and not the 40v one because the battery is interchangeable with the long reach one I’ve got, they’re both 20v. Ive used it on Buxus small hedge and Privet larger hedge so far and it cuts nice and clean. It does feel a little weak tbh compared to the now gone corded one I had and compared to the petrol one I’ve got, there’s no comparison, that one will cut your arm off and not even care, smellllllllls lovely too. So this 20v battery one, I can use the battery on the long reach trimmer, it cut the hedge nicely, don’t think it would cope with pencil width branch but to keep ontop of new growth its fine.It’s also fairly light, there’s a two contact dead switch, so if you let go with either hand it’ll immediately stop so wayyyy safer than the electric corded one and emits a quite sound, similar to the corded one, obviously a lot quieter than the petrol one.Cleans up nice with a quick brush to the blade and then pop it dry back into its protective sheath. Ive knocked a star off because it feels like its struggling but that might just be how it is.

We used this battery hedge trimmer to clear holly and brambles from an overgrown path. It was light and easy to use. The battery lasted well. The blades were sharp and although I was careful not to try and cut larger branches with it it was perfect for what we needed to do paired with a set of loppers.

This review is double faceted. Firstly, I bought the hedge trimmer as the result of researching online reviews- it came out top in tests conducted by one gardening publication as well as favourable write ups elsewhere. I haven’t been disappointed. The trimmer is light, manageable, does a great job (we have a lot of hedges) and has a good battery life. Secondly, I had an issue with it and conducted Von Haus through Amazon. They responded almost immediately and resolved the issue far in excess of what I was expecting. Producing a good product is one thing but it’s how a company responds when there’s a problem that’s the test and Von Haus exceeded my expectations. Recommended.

Fuming. Needed a Hedge trimmer at short notice and decided on this one, only to find that the price had gone up in the day I was loooking! The Hedge trimmer arrived quickly but the battery needed charging. Okay, no problem I guess. Then the thing doesn't work. Charge the battery again - still doesn't work. Cuts out after a few seconds. Suspect the trigger and switch is faulty. Luckily i kept the nondescript cardboard packaging to send it back.Now I have to find a printer and wait another seven (7) days for a refund of a non working product. . Meanwhile the hedge continues to grow wildly as it's May. What's the point in having Prime if returns are such a palaver for a faulty product?

I bought this hedge trimmer mostly because I needed a new battery for my vonhaus pole trimmer, this came with a battery that fits both.I was surprised by how good this trimmer is, I have used it to cut all my hedges and there is a lot of them.It’s really light, the charge lasts for ages I run down before the battery does and it cuts much thicker branches than it says in the blurb.I’ve used it on Beech, Sycamore and Ash it whips through Elder it’s taken off all of last years top growth.I haven’t used the pole trimmer at all this has a more powerful motor and is much easy to use.Genuinely impressed by it I wish I’d bought it first.

This hedge trimmer is easy to use, not too heavy and the battery has lasted well each time I have used it. Plenty of power left over when finished cutting my hedges. The hedge trimmer came with battery already almost fully charged. I enjoy using this trimmer as it cuts through the hedge very easily and it’s great to have a trimmer with no cable to get in the way. All at a very reasonable Price
