Surprisingly Good
I’ll admit, my first experience with Vegemite was not great — but that was entirely my fault. I spread it like peanut butter, which, as I’ve since learned, is basically the #1 rookie mistake. Vegemite is incredibly salty and concentrated, so a little really does go a long way. The trick is to treat it like a seasoning rather than a spread. Thin layer on hot, buttered toast? Game changer. Suddenly, it went from “why does this taste like pure salt??” to “oh, this is actually really good.” It’s definitely a bold, acquired taste — very savory, rich, and has an umami flavor. I wouldn’t eat it by the spoonful, but as part of breakfast, it’s oddly comforting. Final thoughts: If you’re new to Vegemite, go in with respect, use it sparingly, and you might just end up loving it. And if not? Well, at least it’s a fun story.

New packaging, nice improvement
I've never seen a squeeze bottle for Vegemite before, but it's definitely an improvement since it can be kinda sticky when in a jar, making a mess with a hard to open jar. This way, just give it a bit of a squeeze and you're in business. As for the flavor, it's Vegemite, an acquired taste, quite salty, a bit bitter, but I think it adds a nice oomph for beef flavored dishes.

Ripoff! Too small for over $12!!!!!!!! Pow!
For the price, this item is not worth it. Very, very, very small. Dinky. Ripoff.

Good
Thinner than I expected, but I should have expected so. Spreads well. Not too thin that it drips like a syrup or makes anything soggy. Convenient and easier for travel compared to traditional glass screwtops, and doesn't need to be put in fridge.

Zip for a McMuffin
I thought I'd try this Aussie favorite yeast spread that has a high vitamin B content. It's tangy and very different, giving a bit of zip to toast or a sandwich. I think it would go great with a typical Egg, Muffin and cheese breakfast sandwich.
