I have DIY books that go back 50 years, from the days of B&W line illustrations. This series (I have Electrical too) covers tools, materials, planning and troubleshooting and uses illustration but more importantly a whole lot of very well done color photography. The knowledge in this book makes it possible for the budding or advanced DIYer to feel comfortable tackling a broad variety of plumbing work.

Good read. I was able to complete several projects without cussing. This taught me I was doing things wrong from the beginning. Hence the curses.

I had a shower issue to the point that I needed to turn off the main water that goes to my house, I had a plumber come out and they gleefully quoted me $885 and then I busted open this bad boy, well let me tell you this book showed me exactly what I needed to do the part cost $20 and it took about 15 minutes to read up on how to do it properly and maybe 10 minutes to replace the part and now it's as good as new! This is information that you cannot find online! I want to emphasize that because a lot of people will say "why do I need to buy a book when I can just Google it" I tried googling it I tried looking up videos and there was nothing specific or helpful enough as this book it's just so worth it. You're going to need it at some point you might as well get it now.
