I thought these were bigger chunkier pieces so that it would be easy for my 6 year old to put together. They are small pieces like regular leggos. So they do take a like more skill. Had to help to put them together. She still loves them. I did glue them once together lol.

Fun to build, but tape is absolutely required for 3/4 of the insects to stand for display.

Great build set for the building block and insect fan! Instructions were easy to follow, and this set provides quite a few "name brand compatible" pieces to add to your collection. With a little creativity, this set can produce quite a few strange and bizarre bugs!The only negative I will note is that these builds are quite weighty, and the studs that the legs attach to will not provide adequate support on their own. Providing a base to affix the bugs would have been a welcomed addition. Few of these builds will stand on their own without either strengthening the legs with a compound (glue or locktight) or building a base to support them. (No stars removed for this, as it comes with the territory of building sets)My 10 year old enjoyed the builds!

These 4 kits were fun to put together and look pretty good once complete(my favorite is in between the butterfly and the caterpillar) but it did have a few issues. First issue which was probably just bad luck is that one of the pieces looked like it was melted. It was supposed to be a 1x2 flat piece but it had half melted away so it was more like a 1x0.6 It still worked for what it was needed for, but can easily be seen if looking at the details of the final product. Again, I feel that this was just bad luck and don't expect every kit to have a bad piece, but including an extra piece or 2 might be a good idea for future kits.The reason that this is 4 stars instead of 5 is because the the leg sections on 2 of the 4 have a bad habit of just popping off/apart if you so much as look at them wrong. After spending 5 minutes trying to get a leg to snap back on without another leg popping off, I finally started super gluing the legs onto the body.

I liked this set of building blocks. There are four different small kits in the kit from which you can build different insects. Each kit comes in a separate bag and with separate instructions. The instruction is step by step and with clear pictures. Building blocks look good and high quality. Our 10 year old son loved this set and was excited to start building this set. I think that this set can be interesting and a good gift for children.

We have been working on these for months now. The butterfly is so confusing with the directions and different colors. I have got one wing done and having trouble with the 2nd wing. Its going to take alot of time and concentration. Our daughter started on one as well and the pieces kept coming apart so she's waiting as well. We will get them done sometime but its gonna be awhile.
