Bought for mother in law and it worked to replace broken fob. Im now her favorite son in law.

I ordered two of these to replace the broken shells on my toyota avalon remotes. The dealership wanted an outrageous price to replace them. Something in the neighborhood of $250 (incuded the guts) for one. My insides worked fine so I only needed the shells. They broke first time I changed the battery. The replacement shells work great and I now have two remotes that work. Total cost for both was around $20. I would definitely recommend buying these over replacements from dealerships.

If your T. key fob case is broken and needs tape or a rubber band to keep it from falling apart, this is for you. I took my functional key fob innards and put them in this replacement in less than one minute. It snapped together easily and securely, and it works great. Once the circuit board and battery are in the new key fob case, toss the uncut key that comes with the replacement case, and slip your old key into the new fob. Looks like OEM too! Way cheaper than buying a new key for the dealer.

Please don't buy this; get it from the dealer. The key is loose and is never secure; it separates on its own.

Very easy repair. Much less expensive than getting a complete new key if the inside is still working. This just replaced the frame.

The fob falls off the key at will. I have dropped it numerous times because the key has come out of the fob.

Needed a replacement key fob and this one came in clutch. I don’t even know why I used the broken one for so long. The installation was simple too. This is probably unrelated but I didn’t realize the reach deceased when I changed the key fob but I’m sure there’s something else going on.
