Perfect sockets I opened them up and soldered a few together to make a string of lights. Due to the light gauge the limit is about 4 though m. The plastic is thin so be careful if your drop these. I wrapped the base in a electric tape to avoid it shattering if I dropped it. They feel like they might shatter easy. Work well tho !!! Meant to plug into a dc board with 5.5mm plug but you can cut this off and attach whatever connector you need. Nice long leads like 6 foot

This is a scam. Could not get them to power on. Cheap material broke immediately upon screwing in a lightbulb, I bought two -- neither worked.Amazon should remove this seller.

Had some issues finding a properly specced bulb for this (It requires 5V-6V not 5W or 5A). With everything it needs it works as expected. I converted an old 120 us plug lamp with this. Now I have a USB solar to dual battery banks to lamp in my shed, outputs a good amount of light and barely drains power at all. Just remember that it's 5 or 6 VOLTS.

Bought this to use with camp baterry pack. Placed an LED bulb in it and it works great. I would buy it again.

Works great with no problems at all. Its for low voltage DC 12v. I use it with my solar for off grid light. I just ordered three more. Read the description before you order that way you know what to expect. I used "Ashialight 12 Volt LED Bulbs-RV Light Bulbs, Low Voltage Light Bulbs, Equal 60 watt A19 Bulb, Medium Screw Base, Daylight 5000K for RV Camper Marine, Off Grid and Solar Light Fixture (2pcs of Pack)".

UPDATE: LIGHT duty. For example, if you screw a bulb into the socket as you normally would, it's possible--I did--to rip the VERY VERY LIGHT METAL off the screw-connection in the socket...so the whole thing comes out. ........just be aware of this. That metal seems about as light as ALUMINUM FOIL plus just a little bit--I was able to re-screw / make a new little mounting hole etc. to get it working again. .....then I'll wrap this in black electrical tape as a reminder to ... NOT SCREW IN THE BULB with any strength at all.......1st thought was this is a pricey thing ... still I think fair price might be circa $10. $8 would be believable.(ORIGINAL posting at 4 stars:) Especially if you have this outside or anywhere slightly moist. ... spritz some WD 40 into the red switch area. .........mine stopped working .... and it needed that plus flicking the switch on and off to get that connection to be good. ......after the WD40 into the switch, it worked 100% of the time, PERFECTLY again, like new. Good long cord. A little pricey... would have bought it sooner for about 11.95 or less. But okay for price.

It is everything it claims to be. Works very well.If you're on here wondering if this will work with the harbour frieght magnum thunderbolt 100 watt solar kit. It does very well.
