An amazing guide on how to have a more regulated nervous system
This is a wonderful book and a must have for anyone looking to heal their own nervous system or work with people with nervous system dysregulation.In 2016, I had a concussion and went on to develop post-concussion syndrome, i.e. long-term symptoms related to the concussion. I've been on a long (and continuing) recovery journey since then and part of that has involved learning about my nervous system. I'm convinced that a large part of post-concussion syndrome is nervous system dysregulation.I've been following Dr Passaler on Instagram since 2021 and love her content. When I saw that she had published a book, I jumped at the chance to buy a copy. I'm so glad I did.This book clearly and thoroughly addresses why we become dysregulated and offers many insights, practices, tools and techniques to both heal ourselves and work effectively with others on healing.I'm in awe of how much helpful and practical information is included in this book. Dr Passaler is gifted at making complicated things simple to understand. I especially like the way she presents the material in 5 easy-to-follow steps.Her passion to help others navigate a potentially overwhelming and bewildering topic is evident throughout and she writes in a very readable way. Her wisdom, skill, compassion and care shine through on every page.I particularly like how she talks about how and why highly sensitive individuals are particularly susceptible to dysregulation and what they can do to overcome their challenges.This truly is a comprehensive, up-to-date guide to nervous system healing. An essential book for anyone interested in the subject and wanting to heal at a nervous system level.

An excellent, thorough, must-have guide on holistic well-being!
This book is amazing - it covers everything needed for holistic healing. Because really the nervous system dysregulation is at the root cause of so many symptoms. Without addressing the nervous system healing, many solutions may not work. And Dr. Linnea has done such an excellent job of making the most thorough, comprehensive, detailed but at the same time practical guide for working with the nervous system. I love how there are so many examples, research and practical ideas and everything is explained so easily that anyone can read it and use it. I am a coach and somatic therapist myself and I already have included some of the knowledge in my work, seeing great results. I highly recommend this book to both - professionals as well as any individual wanting to access more healing, peace, and holistic well-being. A MUST-HAVE guide. Thank you, Dr. Linnea for all your work and research!

Cutting edge healing
I highly recommend this book. As a clinical psychologist working with traumatised individuals, I have become increasingly interested in the role of the nervous system in healing. This book confirms much of what I have observed clinically - that verbally exploring trauma and attachment disruption is best done after a period of working to support the nervous system, and then in conjunction with nervous system tracking and regulation. Dr Linnea’s writing style is clear, concise and research driven, whilst also being warm and non-judgemental. She shares some of her own story, which I enjoy and find helpful (having been trained not to do this!). I have been recommending this to clients and am hoping she will produce something more accessible for children and teenagers next!

Really good book on the subject!
I have read a fair few books on the subject and this one is easy to read and follow and offers a few nuggets of wisdom. Unfortunately most books on regulating the nervous system offer little knowledge that is remarkable,significant or different/new. However I am enjoying this book, it is one of the better ones written.

Can't wait to get started on the 5 Stage Plan to heal my nervous system!
I have started reading "Heal Your Nervous System" by Dr Linnear Passaler and am finding it hugely helpful in understanding the nervous system and all the different elements which we need to take into consideration when thinking about our own nervous system. I believe that the health of our nervous system is fundamental for the health and wellbeing of our mind, body and spirit and I'm on a mission to heal my nervous system following both chronic and acute trauma with the help of this book.

THE tool to heal from burnout and stress
I've been on Dr Linnea's Heal your nervous system program for almost a year, the content in that is summarised in this book. It helped me get through and recover from a severe period of burnout last year, and subsequent few months of anxiety and depression. Although I have also tried medication, exercise, diet etc (all of which are also v important), this book has given me the knowledge about my sensitivity and what it means, as well as the tools to construct a daily life around my needs in order to keep myself well. Therefore it is helping me build a life that works for my unique nervous system needs for the long term, as well as helping me overcome a negative period in my life. I highly recommend for anyone who is feeling dysregulated but hasn't been able to pinpoint the exact problem, let alone find solutions. It will help you uncover the real unique needs that you have, and craft your own solutions to help you live better.

Such a Common Sense informative book
I came across this book unexpectedly and from reading the preview of it I knew instantly it was just what I was looking for, I ordered the hard copy of it straight away with no hesitation and I am very glad I did, I am finding it describes me perfectly and I am so looking forward to the journey it’s taking me on, I love the flow of the book too, I highly recommend it 😀
