Excellent, does everything it should very very well
A neat little enclosure for your new SSD, very useful if you need to clone a laptop harddrive as part of an upgrade, or just as a handy extra storage to plug-in any time.Extremely fast when connected via USB-C, I cloned a 500GB drive in 27 minutes.A really nice feature is that inserting a new SSD is tool-less, the retaining screw can be turned with your fingers (and they give you a spare). There's a thick thermal pad included, and the enclosure itself has sensible heat-dissipating ridges, no chance of this SSD ever becoming hot. Also worth mentioning that it comes with a choice of USB cables, both are quite short, good stiff plugs so that there's not much chance of this coming loose even if your cat knocks it or something.Overall a well-engineered little device, very pleased with this purchase, wish everything would be so good!

Great product!
This is a really sturdy, nicely designed little enclosure, supporting multiple SSD formats, NVMe and SATA and 2230-2280 sizes. Connects via USB-A/C .I've had many different enclosures over the years and this is definitely one of the better ones. The Tool-Free feature greatly speeds up installing/removing drives. The only issue I had (and it's not the fault of the enclosure) is the WD_BLACK SN850X 2TB SSD I put in the enclosure came with its own built-in heatsink and was too thick so I had to use the enclosure without the case on. Not a big deal though as this was just used to clone the drive and didn't affect the drive or enclosures performance. Now that drive is installed in my PC, I have a smaller NVMe drive in the encloser as an external drive. Works great!

High quality, well designed, does the job well - and there're no fiddly screws!
Installation of a 500GB SSD drive was simple (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B25LQQPC?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 ) and toolless thanks to the excellent rubber retention lock. In the package were two cables (one USB A to USB C and the other USB C to USB C), one thermal expansion pad and the enclosure itself. Immediately after fitting and initialising the drive on my PC, I loaded around 400GB of FLAC files and found that the speed of transfer was in line with that expected from the SSD itself, while the enclosure only got warm rather than hot. I'm pleased with the enclosure, it appears to be well-designed and of high quality and I would buy another without hesitation.

Overall a solid product
Overall it does the job just fine, no issues with the PC or a Raspberry Pi detecting it.Read/Write speeds seem to be decent for an external enclosure but I have not done any meaningful speed tests outside of what I see in an every day usage scenario. It does not get hot but I only use a gen 3 NVMe drive in it currently and those do not get that hot any way. There is a slight issue with the overall design when it comes to cooling in my opinion. It came supplied with a thermal pad to place on top of the NVMe drive for heat transfer from the drive to the enclosure.I can not see this being overly effective with gen 4/5 drives as it does not make any real contact with the metal enclosure other than maybe down the two edges as the enclosure is curved. There is a possibility that the NVMe drive I have in there is slightly thinner than others so I could be seeing a gap where there might be minimal gap with other NVMe drives.

Excellent Speed, Build quality & value for money
This is the 2nd of these external NVME enclosures I've purchased. Excellent build quality, all aluminium metal body, with a quick access/release button. Comes with both a USB 3.2.2 Type C to USB 3.2.2 Type C & a USB 3.2.2 Type C to type A cables. Very easy to install a non-heat sink NVME SSD. I've tried both a 1TB & 4TB Samsung 990PRO M.2 & getting transfer speeds of 996MB, when connected to a USB 4 socket. No excessive heat.Make sure you buy a non-heatsink version SSD, otherwise it won't fit. The enclosure does come with a heat-pad, so if you plan to use it a lot, I'd advise picking a low profile copper strip heat sink kit - & installing that on your SSD, so to maximise heat dissipation, as some cheaper NVMe SSDs run hotter than the Samsungs.

A breeze to use.
It was used for cloning an internal SSD to a new SSD in the enclosure. The new has twice the memory of the internal, so I then manipulated the cloned partitions to maximise the OS(C:) partition on the new SSD. The internal SSD was removed and the new clone fitted in its place. It all worked admirably. Using this enclosure was completely straight-forward. The supplied connecting cables are, perhaps, on the short side. I used a longer one that I already had.
