Love this little pump!
I bought this bilge pump as my “backup” pump. I wanted less “fluid” in the bilge. Our shower and air conditioner condensation empty into the bilge. Controlling the smells is a challenge. This pump has a check valve and is automatic. Both no no’s for the primary bilge pump. This little pump almost dried the bilge completely the first time I turned it on. It cycles off and on just fine. Very happy so far. It’s going to get a workout, so I’ll update this review as necessary. I also added a 2000 GPH SeaFlo bilge pump as the primary. Looking forward to trying that one out as well…

Piece of crap or I got a bad one
Bought this pump to use as an automatic back up or redundant pump. The pump works on the manual mode and it cycles on the auto mode. However, it can be completely submerged and it will not come on and pump water. This apparently a poorly designed pump that does not work as indicated. I’m going to have to try another brand. Don’t buy this crap.

Not just for boats
We live off-grid in a small cabin and have to haul water to our property, so water is a precious resource that we try and harvest or recycle as much as possible. I am using this for a small outdoor shower in a shallow basin and use this to re-collect that water and pump it into our rain barrel collection system that is used to water the garden. We use eco friendly biodegradable soaps and this is actually quite good for the plants because soap acts as a surfactant which makes the water more easily available for plants to uptake. It's a win win!How My Star Rating System Works & What They Mean:1 STAR - Pretty much junk and I would return and ask for a refund if I could.2 STAR - It works, but barely meets the minimum requirements it should in order to keep it and not return it, but I would not order again.3 STAR - It does what it was designed to do, but there's nothing really special about it. It's acceptable but not great.4 STAR - I am very comfortable recommending it to a friend because it is is well made, durable, and delivers on its advertised features, and I would buy it again.5 STAR - I really love it. The item exceeds my expectations of quality, durability and functionality. Not only would I purchase it again, but I would also actively encourage friends and family to to do the same. All of my reviews are my own personal opinion and are completely honest no matter if I receive an item for free or I pay for it. I am an avid Amazon shopper, as well as an Amazon Vine Voice and I personally rely on reading reviews to make all of my buying decisions, so I understand the importance of honest reviews from my peers.

Very lightweight all plastic automatic pump
SEAFLO 14B Series 12V 1100 GPH Automatic Low Profile Bilge PumpSeaflo pumps have a 4 year warranty and even if you don't have your receipt they will still honor the 4 year warranty, they will go by the manufacturing date stamped on the pump instead of the purchase date. This is much lighter and smaller than other seaflo pumps I have because it is all plastic. I got this, as this will be the only pump I have that automatically senses water and I can use it from a solar generator to deal with any basement issues in a major power outage.Thank you for reading my review and looking at my photos of this product. I hope you found it helpful!REVIEW PHILOSOPHY: I only review a product if it is something I am capable of critically evaluating through comparison, testing and use. This means I have experience of using similar items; or that I have equipment or tools that I can test it with; or that I have an upcoming need so I can actually use. I am as selective about getting an item to review as I would be about purchasing that same item, so yes, I expect it to be a good product. My reviews are NOT based on packaging or if it was delivered timely.

Powerful little pump
This bilge pump packs a lot of punch in a little package. It was smaller than I expected, so at first glance I wasn't sure how efficient this little guy was going to be. It comes with three different hose connectors to adapt to a variety of hose size configurations. It inlet screen sits low to the bottom, but the inlet can rotate 360 degrees to any orientation. This pump does not have a float switch, but instead checks for water every 2 and a half minutes. If water is detected, it comes on and continues to pump until no more water is entering the inlet, then it automatically shuts off. The instructions say it can be used on vessels up to 24 meters, but this seems like a large expectation for such a small pump, but who knows, I don't have a 24 meter vessel to challenge it. I ran this pump initially for about 20 minutes or so in a test bath, it was warm to the touch when I brought it out, not sure if that is normal or not. Overall, it moves a lot of water, is versatile, and is rated for 1100 gallons per hours. Pretty impressive results for this little guy.

Super easy to install.
Attach power and watch it go. This one has a function that will turn it on and off every two minutes or so and see if there is water, if it senses water it runs until it is empty, so no float is included. so, if you are going strait to your battery it will run the battery down, so put it on a switch.

No drop left behind.
This is a great bilge pump. It has so many mounting options. It really gets every drop out. With a replaceable motor and its super low pick up I think I have found the perfect bilge. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who doesn't like water in the boat.

Very small unit
I got this to be used as an emergency back up. I put stainless gator clips on it so it be hooked up directly to the battery. It will be stored in a dry box until I need it, which is hopefully never. I tested it in a bucket of water and it emptied it in seconds. It’s quite impressive for its small size.
