I'm lovin' it!
My chiclit keyboard for my Surface Pro has seen better days. I decided that this would be a good alternative when I use the Surface as a laptop. Boy, was I wrong ... and in a good way. This is a full-size keyboard. Sure, it will pair with the Surface. But it will pair with any compatible device. For me, I'm using it with my desktop and it will replace the craptastic one shipped with my desktop machine.Pairing the keyboard to my machine was easy & effortless. I removed the protector on the battery terminal, and a little LED started blinking above the up arrow. (To otherwise initiate pairing, press the button on the underside opposite the battery.) On my device, I located bluetooth settings via Cortana search. The Surface keyboard was recognized and ready to pair (see image). I typed the passkey, and the device was paired after 30 seconds or so.Microsoft has really upped its device game, and this keyboard seems targeted to designers and those in that market (i.e., Apple users). The packaging is outstanding, white (hint: Apple), and like the Surface. The tactile experience of the product -- specifically, how it feels -- is premium, for certain.I agree with others that a back-lit keyboard would have hit this one out of the park. For me, a backlit keyboard is nice-to-have, not must-have unless a laptop, so didn't deduct a star for that.I personally like a chiclet-style keyboard, as well as the noise that goes with it. I also like this keyboard's fit & finish. These may be bothersome to some, especially chiclet noise, so it is worth mentioning.Overall, I'm lovin' it!**** I received the product free in exchange for my candid opinion & honest review. This review reflects my experience with this product. YMMV. ****

Better than I expected
Take it out of the box, say "Wooooow" as you realize how light it is, remove the plastic strip separating the batteries from the connectors and you are good to go. Setup was as straightforward as could be. Thing is, though, that I tried a LOT of keyboards before I finally found some cheapy that felt right. Right before I bought this one I tried two others (gaming keyboards no less) and they all felt uncomfortable to use so for that reason this stayed in my inbox for over a year since I just wasn't sure if I wanted to take the chance on this...But I eventually did (obviously) and the buttons are soft to the touch, responsive, have a great hit response depth, they sound so soft when you press them... Everything about this keyboard is awesome... except the lack of backlight. I am going to find this especially troublesome since I work mostly at night but I guess that is what light bulbs are for, right?Ironically enough, since I am on a desktop I don't get to change my screen brightness so, even though the WIndows "What's new" tips tell me "You can now set the brightness right next to the time! You are welcome" I actually do NOT have that feature. I miss it from my Mac days but on my desktop it simply isn't there... but with this keyboard's built in keys for screen brightness adjustment I finally DO have direct access to that feature literally right at my fingertips. I can now spend all day watching that brightness bar go up and down while not actually doing anything at all to my display's brightness.... :(Literally, this KB does more than I expected :P lolAs for normal features, it does them very well and I am very happy with it. I just wish it had backlighting. It's the only thing this is lacking.

Been My Work Keyboard Since May 2021
The media could not be loaded. Sorry, a very long, overdue review of this keyboard I really love! The review was forgotten in the midst of all the other items. I've been using this since May 2021 (date of purchase) and this has been with me since then, I don't use anything else for work (when I'm mad typing 9 to 5). I highly recommend, because as flat as it's seen, it might be the Microsoft's version of the Apple, this is very ergonomically better for your hands and wrists. The bluetooth connects fast and easy, you may be asked to type in a number to connect. Judging by how long the battery lasts, I'm very sure that the sleep mode is ON POINT. I am very satisfied with this product and I would recommend to anyone.

Great keyboard with a few small problems
I really enjoy typing on this keyboard, it's like a nice laptop keyboard, but bigger. I used to have the old MS "Designer" keyboard, but all the keys were too squished together. This has a similar feel but the keys are far enough apart that my hands can tell where they are without me looking. Also, they added little guide notches on the keys so you can feel where you are. Bluetooth is fast and I don't notice any lag.I have three complaints that keep it from 5 stars: 1) If you haven't used the keyboard in 15-20 minutes, it takes about two seconds to wake up. Not awful, but a bit annoying. 2) This doesn't work with Microsoft's keyboard application, and there's literally no software support for modifying it at all, so you can't remap the special keys. There's a calculator button and view notifications button above the numpad that I will never use and cannot remap. 3) The way the FN keys work is a bit odd, and with battery savings, the FN button keeps turning on and off every time I start/stop typing.I'm keeping the keyboard, it's definitely worth the money and super portable. I just wish they would have taken just a bit more time when designing it and provided better software support.
