iRestoreRechargeable Battery Pack, 5200 mAh for Use with The iRestore Professional and Essential Laser Hair Growth System

My wife and I have been using the iRestore device for three months now. We did not originally purchase the unit with the battery pack. I must say that initially, we did not buy it as an accessory to the system as we saw it as not necessary. However, after three months of treatment, I would say that this is definitely nice to have. The 75 USD investment is well worth it. We do not have a problem being tied down to the sofa for the 25 minutes of laser light and enjoying the sessions and find them very relaxing, however, the battery device now gives us the freedom to move around the house. While it is not a necessity, I must admit that this extra is quite useful and I would definitely recommend anyone using the iRestore "helmet" to also get the battery. My wife and I are very committed to using the device every other day. When we would go away on vacation it was always a concern that she could not use this device when traveling. That changes with the addition of this battery. No missed days will be had from now on :). Once committed to your hair and its health you are locked in and should be. As to the technicals, the battery takes about 4 hours to fully charge. It is very compact and easily fits in one's pocket or clips onto a belt. It is not obtrusive when wearing it and I find that I barely notice it when walking around. The dimensions are 9.5 cm (L) x 5.5 cm (W) x 2.5 cm (D) and while I did not physically weigh the battery I must say that it is quite light and again I barely notice it. The charge lasts for exactly six treatments after which you will need to recharge. If it is only one person using the device you will be good for 12 days with use on alternate days. My wife and I obviously have to recharge every 6 days. This seems like good battery capacity taking into account what the device is actually doing in terms of light projection and the resulting battery drain. There is are four blue indicator lights on the side of the unit so that you may know exactly how much power you have left. It takes the guesswork out of the equation and makes for a great feature. Additionally, the battery clips onto the iRestore "helmet" remote control via a magnet that firmly connects all components preventing a disconnect and the "helmet" turning off when running "remote" on battery power. There is also the issue of charging voltage that I should mention. Thankfully, the charging/power unit that comes with the iRestore helmet is made for 100-240V voltage input. This is truly great as you can either power the device or charge the battery on the local power current in the country you are in without the need for a voltage converter. All you need is a plug adapter to match the local variant. The device and battery pack will be on my next flight to Europe without a doubt. All in all, I must say that we are very pleased with this device. While not completely necessary for your treatment, I do recommend it for that extra flexibility that it does give you. It is well worth the investment. A+ to the manufacturer.

I don’t know why they advertise at 5200mAh when it’s actually 3200mAh

This has been a game changer. I had the old system with the plug-in and always had to stay right next to the outlet. This device gives me the option to move around, do laundry, or any other things I need: while still using my red light helmet. Since I bought this, my usage has been so much more consistent because I have so many more options.

Good quality but be warned it won’t warm up your helmet the way plugging it in will. If you want the full effect of the helmet it’s probably best to plug it in directly to the outlet because a battery can only do so much. Good for travel or those days that you can’t sit still.

My 7 year old grandson LOVES this book. He says the jokes are corny (which, of course, they are) but he has memorized the whole book and we've gotten a lot of laughs from it.

I was skeptical about buying 3rd party, but it is the same as if I bought it at a higher price from the company.

this is a geniune irestore battery. the same that came with the helmet. however, the description inaccurately states this is a 5200mAh battery. it is actually only 3200mAh.
