The Inheritance Games (The Inheritance Games, 1)

This series is everything it promised to be and everything I was hoping for, thus far. I'm at the end of book two with books three and four on the way as I type this. I can't WAIT to devour the rest of the Inheritance Games and start the series designed to come after! What's even better is that the resident tweenager in my house can enjoy them too when I get done reading them.If you love riddles upon riddles, traps upon traps (;D) and relatable heroines that would undoubtedly give any literary detective a run for their money, this series is most definitely for you!

Spoilers Ahead....I've never been so invested in a storyline like this. It was gripping and had me at the edge of my seat. I wanted, no, needed to find out what would happen next. And now, I need more. I never expected the ending. Which is fantastic for this genre. The only reason its not a 5 star read is due to the underwhelming conclusion. I only wish it had meant more.

This is the perfect beginning to a mystery series! The twisting and turning starts on page one and doesn’t stop until the very last page. I love Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ writing so much! Her imagination and world building skills are excellent. I definitely recommend reading all of her books!I read this one when it first came out and decided to wait until the rest of the books were published to continue. I’m so glad I did! Now on to book 2 “The Hawthorne Legacy”!

There wasn't a moment in this series where I thought I had the plot twist(s) figured out. There was always a new puzzle, riddle, twist, or turn to keep me on my toes. Every so often, I would say, "After this chapter, I'll take a break," but I literally could NOT put these books down. Read the series. You will not be disappointed!

Overall I really enjoyed this book, almost couldn’t put it down! It took me a little while to get past the insanity of the basic plot but once I delved into the world I loved it! Lots of twists and turns, always keeping you guessing. I guessed about half of the ending by about halfway through but I really enjoyed how it tied together towards the end. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series and seeing where the riddles, clues and hints take the cast of characters!

Delivery was great well packaged no damage.The quality of the book itself is mid the bonding is poor… mine started falling apart, the pages are basic, the texture reminds me of those old Nancy Drew novels.As for the story line I am 200 pages in chapter 50 and struggling to complete this book. I like the concept but heated the execution, I like to finish what I started even though I am struggling I will push on through. Can’t wait to start my next book The nightingale or Before I let go 🤔😊

Oh my gosh the suspense in this book was amazing i love ho it was written to. I don’t usually write revives but this one deserves it. I hope kindle keeps giving me books like this because it was amazing. Thank you so much 😊.

Wow! I could not stop reading. Worth the read! Onto book two. This would make a good movie! Go read this one!
