Q: It says on the manifold what to torque the bolts too but what pattern am I supposed to use?

You'll need to (Google 2001 Ford f150 intake manifold bolt pattern). I believe the new manifold have numbers on it. Says to tightened to (18 ft/lb). I also highly recommend you put pipe tape around the vacuum breather connection it comes with otherwise you may end up with a vacuum leak.

The price is great, but you’re definitely getting what you pay for! Poor design and weak materials in the mating surface and bolt holes make it almost impossible to torque it to spec without crushing parts of it. I’m not a professional mechanic but I’m not completely clueless either and wound up crushing the housing on 3 of the bolts of the first one I received. I rationalized that it could have been a one-off defect so I opted for an exchange vs. A refund and he seller replaced the unit quickly & without question. After carefully installing the 2nd unit, I was on the road again for about 100 miles before my engine began misfiring and overheating because the spark plug wells were flooded with coolant from the fracture in the intake manifold. This time I wanted a full refund and the seller wasn’t nearly as accommodating as before, I received about 75% of what I paid for the unit only after several volleys of email with lots of pictures. I wound up going to a junkyard and pulling the best OEM intake I could find & that’s been keeping me mobile for around 12,000 miles now. So, (sorry for the rant) the short answer is “NO!!”
