Fun cakes
My granddaughters, ages 11 and 12, and I make all the family birthday cakes. We decided that everyone this year will get their initial (15 cakes this year); so far we've done 5. Luckily, we made a practice cake when we first got the pan, which was a disaster - but we learned from our mistakes (spray the pan and inserts really well! Also, it has worked better for us to let the cake cool completely in the pan before turning it out - loosen sides first. Another thing we do is just use one cake mix, as opposed to one and a half boxes - the cake isn't as tall, of course, but quicker than measuring half a box, or making cupcakes with the leftover batter. Also, we always doctor the cake mix, replacing the water with whole milk, and using the whole eggs, as opposed to just the whites, in a white cake mix. We did make a chocolate cake from scratch - again, just the one recipe - yummy! We decorate them, according to the person's likes, even giving macarons a try the night before, which we had beginner's luck on, to decorate one of them.Sorry I don't know how to post pictures! One more thing - there is a tiny bit of seeping under the dividers, but it's no big deal - breaks off easily. Love it!

Amazing
These pans are amazing. I love the fact that you can do every letter and number. I bought 2 of them, so I can bake more at the same time. The instructions are really easy to follow.

Excellent choice for celebration baking
We’ve got four young kids and made a financial decision to start making birthday cakes instead of buying them at a bakery. Each birthday I was buying one of those silicone number molds. They were a mess. Hard to manage because it’s so floppy, impossible to get the cake out no matter how much you prep the mold. It was always a “nailed it” situation. When I saw this product I’m pretty sure angels were singing. Every single letter and number! Exactly what I needed. The pan is very sturdy and well-coated. I like the grid pattern to help keep the smaller pieces in place. My only reason for deducting a star is that I wish the smaller pieces were as sturdy as the pan. They are very thin and bend so easily I’m afraid they won’t last as long as the pan does.Regardless, it was definitely worth the price and I’m very happy with this purchase.

Received damaged
Received this product with the weld on one of the pieces broken, messaged the seller and it was made right immediately. I love everything Wilton and I know this pan will be no exception. I have not used it yet but am excited too.

A Must Have For All Bakers
I absolutely love this cake pan! I was looking for a pan for my daughter's 4th birthday and did not want to buy a "4" mold since it's use would be limited after this one occassion. I ordered this pan and it was perfect. I am excited to have it for future use and my family is already asking to borrow it for their own baking plans.I followed the advice of other reviewers and made sure to spray and then coat the pan with flour before use to prevent sticking. Make sure to spray & flour the inserts you are using too. I had no issues at all! The only error I made was not baking the cake in a backwards "4" so that I could flip the pan over easily after it baked and decorate the flat side. It was a little challenging getting the 4 out as a result without some tearing, but nothing a little icing couldn't patch up.I used 1 box of store bought cake mix and it was the right amount. There was minimal batter around the inserts and what little there was after baking was easy to trim away. This is a must have cake pan for bakers. I would gift this to someone I knew loved to bake and did not have one. I wish I has discovered it previosuly.

I love make cakes with this pan!
If you love to bake you need to buy this pan. Endless options. The first time I used it I made the letter "M" (shown) for a birthday cake at work. I wanted 2 layers. I followed the suggestions in the instructions and this is what I experienced. I figured out depending on the size of the letter or number you are baking would determine the amount of batter you will need. The first attempt I used 1 box mix, dividing my batter in half and greased and floured the pan. It came out way to thin, about an 1" thick and because I was making chocolate cake, I would not grease and flour the pan cause it left traces of the white flour on the cake. Baking spray will do just fine. If you make it using a box mix, I would use 1 box per layer. Also, make sure the batter is spread all the way to the corners of the pan so it will rise evenly. I've really enjoy using this pan and my friends love borrowing it.
