Making Connections Level 1 Student's Book: Skills and Strategies for Academic Reading 2nd Edition

They write already in that book. And I don’t want it for that reason. It’s not good for my purpose

This book is my favorite book to use for teaching reading to ESL students. The readings are interesting. The reading and vocabulary strategies are nicely integrated into each chapter. There are 3 readings per chapter on the same topic, which allows the learner to recycle the vocabulary. The weakest part of this book is the vocabulary section.

A very nice book that is fairly explicit in its explanation and examples of how to understand and use text structure to aid reading comprehension. Designed for English learners, it could be adapted for use by middle school (or above) students with mild learning differences (if their decoding is accurate enough).
