Fowler 52-585-070-0, Magnetic V-Block With On-Off Switch

While likely good in casual settings or a personal workshop the block leaves some to be desired. I ordered the block to use at work hold a part while measure the centerline of said part. While the magnet itself is quite nice compared to most magnetic v-blocks I've used. The actual "v" in the block was throwing my readings of by about .004 of an inch. Which is the entire tolarance of the parts. Making this near usless in a professional setting. I reccomend that if you buy this get it for a hobby shop such as in your garage and make a weekend project out of regrinding it to be centered. But be careful as the metal is quite soft and heating it to harden it would likely ruin the magnet. But you should be gentle with your tools anyways so its not that large of a detriment.
