Game-Changer for Chick & Chicken Watering — Set It and Forget It (Almost)
I raise chickens, and this waterer is one of those rare products that actually makes my daily chores easier. If you’ve ever juggled multiple brooders or coops, you know how time-consuming it can be to keep water clean and accessible, this setup handles that beautifully. The tank holds plenty of water, which means I don’t have to constantly refill it. I love being able to fill it once and forget it for a while, especially during hectic weeks with hatches and flock shuffling. Even better, the design keeps shavings, dirt, and debris out of the cups, unlike those shallow ground-level dishes that turn into mud pits by noon.My favorite feature? I can mount it on the outside of my coops and brooders. No more opening panels, climbing inside, or disturbing sleepy chicks just to top off a water bowl. I just pop the lid and pour. Easy.It also comes with two types of cups, which is such a thoughtful bonus. The small nipple-style cups are ideal for tiny chicks who can’t yet reach the full-size drinkers, this helped me transition chicks gradually without changing out the whole system. If you're managing chickens of multiple ages or just want something low-effort and high-function, this is a solid investment. I’d happily buy another one if my flock keeps growing, which, let’s be honest... it will.

WORKS GREAT!!! You should buy it!
The media could not be loaded. The way it works is, there is a spring inside. When the cup is light, it allows water to flow in. When the cup is full of water (or dirt), the weight of the cup closes the opening so no water flow. There is a removable cup inside the big cup for easy cleaning however I have found that sometimes its hard to pull out. If too much dirt gets inside, I swirl my finger round in the water to get the dirt up, then turn the cup to the left and let it dump out.I added a video so you can see how well the chickens like it. The pictures to show how I put it on my chicken run. I've had this for probably 5+ months now and it's working out great (Update: 8 months and it still works great!). Occasionally, the water will get some green in it, so I wash it out, but it's really not that difficult. My chicks were hatched in April 2021 and started using this around October (about 6 month old). I only have 2 chickens. It's easy to lift the lid and fill with water when they run out. This is working out WAY BETTER than the other cups I had where their beaks were supposed to hit the yellow ball inside the cup and that would allow water flow, but they didn't (several problems with those). I have not used this one inside the coop, just in the run, but to my knowledge it doesn't leak. I did purchase a smaller one to set up inside their coop, I just haven't gotten around to it yet (right now I put it on a few bricks under a tree outside their run so when I let them roam, they have water. Its working out great!Update: This is my first summer using these and the water gets hot (like it would with any waterer). I live in CA and we've been having multiple days over 100. However, I fill up used water bottles and freeze them, then cut off the plastic (or make a few holes in the bottom) and throw a frozen 12oz bottle into the waterer (fits great!). Then, as it melts, they get more water. It melts slower than just using ice cubes. It even fits a 32oz Gatorade bottle (just can't close the top). This has been helping keep their water cooler longer. I am running out of used water bottles haha and will probably just keep reusing like an ice pack. I only have 2 chickens so it takes them awhile to run out of water. Anyways, just a helpful tip I picked up.

Cute, but it does leak a bit actually.
It actually does leak. I’ll have to wait for it to empty in order to try and out a grommet or rubber band on the inside, but otherwise, it’s great.

Great design except for the lid latch pisses me off LOL
I like it, it works great and the chickens like it too. I got the metal bracket for hanging it as well. I like the removable cup design for cleaning. The only thing that pisses me off about is the damn door latch on the top. That thing- once it snaps closes- is a pain in the ass to get open with one hand while you're holding a pitcher of water to refill it. I literally have to put the pitcher down so I can hold it and PRY the lid open. I'm afraid eventually I'll break it so now I just let it fall "closed" and don't actually snap it completely closed. If that door wasn't so difficult to open it would be 5 stars but as it is, it's infuriating. LOL And I'm a pretty chill chicken lady. It's also a little overpriced for what it is but I do appreciate the family farm that is making this product.. all of the postcard materials/instructions that were included (with a promo code) were very nice (looks like they've got a great marketing team!) so I'm willing to pay extra to support a "local" USA business.EDIT 12/4/23: completely broken now. Managed to save the cup but the square container cracked and started leaking.

Bad design of the lid
Everything about this waterer is great, however, the new lid design isn’t great. It really limits how you can open the lid and when it’s hanging against a cage or a coop, the lid gets jammed against the wiring or gets stuck while opening the waterer. If they were to make this better, the lid would swing away from the animal enclosure- not along the side of it.
