Chilli Paste in Soybean Oil - Nam Prik Pao (Thai Chili Paste) 16 Ounce Jar

My workmates recommended me to this brand of chilli paste for making the perfect “Tom yum soup” and I can say it’s the best so far . I’ve tried so many other brands and this one is the most flavorful and delicious of all . If you’re planning to make Tom yum soup I highly recommend this brand .

Taste very nice, love making a Nam Prik Pao fried rice with it.

Full disclosure, this came to us leaking some of the oil, but whoever prepared this for shipping knew it was a problem and put it in it's own little plastic bag. The weird part was that the suction on the jar was still intact, so if you can find this item locally, it may be worth it to you to get it at a local shop instead. I was blessed to have received the "Beautiful Cookbooks" book on China. If you ever find one of their cookbooks, snag it, their recipes never disappoint. But I digress. This is one of those ingredients that if you don't add just a little bit to your dish, when the recipe asks for it, you will notice something is missing. So again. even if you don't like spicy food, you will still want to get this and add maybe half of what the recipe is asking for your dish to taste right. Hope this helps!

I’ve tried other name brands and this is the only one I’ve been able to find that makes my Korean spicy wings undeniably phenomenal. If you’re looking for a great one this is it. Ordered this after finding out it was the secret ingredient in a Thai inspired dish at a restaurant we dinned at this summer. It really has layers of wonderful bold flavor without being overpoweringly hot. We use it in marinates, dressings, to finish fish, meats, dumplings, and add to ramen.
