Q: I'm looking for a desk calculator that has a lit display so it's visible in the dark. Is there anything available that isn't a printing calculator?

Sharp EL-1501 has a one line lighted display. Scrolling LCD display which takes the place of paper tape is not lighted.

Q: Does this work like an adding machine, automatically moving the decimal? If you punch in 100+ it auto puts in the decimal to 1.00?

yes it can, all functions as regular unit.

Q: Just unboxed the critter and called Sharp. Apparently one cannot edit a number once it enters the stack???
