Lenspen SKL1 Sensor Klean Loupe

I bought the Lenspen SensorKlean Pen separately believing that I would be able to see all the dust specs on my sensor with the naked eye. I was wrong! While using the pen on its own undoubdtedly got rid of the worst of the dust there remained an annoyingly large number of very small dust particles and it wasn't until I'd used the Loupe that I found these and dealt with them.The Loupe is a well designed and very useful piece of kit and one that I'd recommend, however it is somewhat over-priced for what it is so gets a star deducted for that.

I have just received this product and used it once to check the progress of cleaning the sensor on my Nikon D7000.The Good:Optically, this product is surprisingly good.Even with my dodgy eyes, I could see every speck of dirt and dust on the sensor and target the cleaning accordingly.The Bad:The battery compartment is too tall! When the three batteries were inserted, the batteries rattled and did not form a proper connection. In the end, I simply stuffed some folded foil at one end which fixed the problem. Really, you expect new products to be built properly.

The retailer supplying this product supplied a version of the product that was out of date and because the batteries did not fit the product did not work. I emailed Lenspen in Canada and received a reply almost by return offering to replace the product, no questions asked, which I gratefully accepted. The Sensor Klean Loupe was sent out from Canada on Tuesday and arrived this morning Thursday. I regard this as exceptional customer service and definitely unexpected but very welcome.Oh, and the product works great and I now have a clean sensor.

I was very pleased with this. It arrived on time and does the job very well. I am much happier using this than the sensor wipes. The loupe is essential, it lets you see every bit of dust on the sensor.

Arrived as expected

Wonderful tool and works well. Magnification is good and it allows easy access to the sensor.Biggest drawback is that this does NOT come with batteries (or at least mine didnt), despite every bit of documentation saying it does and almost every other seller providing one with the batteries (which are variously described as AG5 or LR44, 1.5v button batteries).Delivery from Amazon was, as normal, fast and efficient.

What a pile of crap! I asked for this junk for a Christmas present because I do use the Lensclear product from this company and find it excellent. However, the so-called loupe is not at all practical in that the supplied batteries have to be forced into the product (which with them being so small is not at all easy (heaven alone knows how you are to get them out, because I can't) Having fiddled, forced and pried and finally got the batteries in - hey presto! the LED lights don't work (and yes, the batteries are the right way up according to the instructions) I shall continue with the arctic butterfly loupe and it's sensor brush and consign this rubbish to where it belongs - unfortunately the designers rear passage not being available - I shall have to use my bin! - DO NOT BUY THIS RUBBISH - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED - BUY THE ARTIC BUTTERFLY LOUPE INSTEAD.

this is great.you can see every foreign object clearly and combined with the lenspen 2 its a useful item to have.easy to use.
