The Moab has aged pretty well for the price.
I've owned the Moab case for over a year now (and still using it) and I'm surprised to see that for once, spending the extra $$ on a phone case has worked out in favor of the consumer.I purchased the blue-colored (btw, those matte-colored flakes in the color are a bit more blueish IRL) option and after over a year of constant use and abuse (I'm very careful about how I hold a phone but accidents do happen) it has not failed me once in any situation where it suddenly slips off my hands. I don't even use a screen protector, I'm that confident in this product's design and shock absorption as I've had numerous occasions where it falls FLAT on the ground. I'm sure we've all been there. Some positives about owning the Moab after 1 year:• The construction has really held up. I was thinking it would begin to crack after a while or smooth itself out in areas where I grip onto the phone, but to my surprise it is still retains it's grip and flexibility, with only the color of the case getting a bit darker from my greasy hands holding it over the year.• The backing of the case is textured enough where one could use any accessory that requires adhesives (like the PopSocket or some of those magnetic cellphone holders), as I've never had the ones I use come off during use over the year.• Surprisingly, even the provided lanyard with this product and the anchor point where you tie it on are still intact, and I tug/place stress on it daily as it goes into/out of my jeans pocket. The only negatives worth noting are actually very minor, but worth pointing out:• The "LANDER" logo on the backside will eventually rub off with time, if that's something you care about. I want to note that its the lettering and not the actual black rectangle you see pictured that comes off, so like I said it's merely cosmetic.• While the buttons for the volume are nicely placed and are easy to press, the switch to go from sound/vibrate (iPhone) is too deep to reach unless you have nails, as the design has left that area open and concave.• I cannot vouch for their advertised "Thermoline Temperature Protection", as I've never noticed any improvement to battery life aside from the case ITSELF never being too hot or cold. The phone does not see a benefit from the case either, as I sometimes feel the Moab retains the cold/heat far too long to make it useful, so in my jean's pocket it stays so it's always at room temp.• As some people like to use a wireless charger, I want to mention ahead of time that this case is not friendly with neither the pad or mount style. It does make contact yes (and it will say it's charging), but it will not charge much since in short, the heat stays trapped in the case (perhaps from the material they use in their "Thermoline Temperature Protection") and actually heats the phone up, never really charging it. So you have to stick to using a charging cable or heck, just remove the case entirely before setting it on a wireless charger. So in short, if you like are looking to have a rugged case that will protect your iPhone, look nice, be useful with adhesive accessories like a PopSocket, and have the product last a year at least (even the lanyard), then this is the case for you. It's a nice case regardless if the whole ""Thermoline Temperature Protection" will work for you or not.

Looks great, doesn't seem to offer much in the way of edge protection
I drop my phone a lot. At least every other week or so. That's why I keep it in a case, like this one. I've never had any screens or backs crack in 10+ years of smartphone ownership, until now.I really like the style of this case and I liked that it had the option to attach a lanyard - useful for hiking and the like. I also thought given the messaging on the product page and on Lander's website that it would offer good protection. Upon receiving the case, I still thought it looked pretty cool, but I noticed that it didn't really feel like a "premium" product to me. For a case that's $30 from here and $40 from Lander's website, I would expect a bit more. It just seemed a bit flimsy... ok for a $10 case, poor for a $30 case.Anyway, my misgivings were proven to be on track when I discovered today that the back glass had been cracked. I've had this case two days - when I swapped from my old case into this case, the glass was definitely intact. Today, when I removed the case to clean the crap around the camera (pictured), I discovered this situation. A real bummer. The only thing that happened in the interim was a drop from my kitchen island, about 4 feet in height.I get that things happen. I get that I dropped it. Maybe it was a freak accident. I'm not trying to collect damages or anything. I'm just saying that given my experience, I don't think this case is worth what they're charging.

Doesn’t protect your phone; difficult access to side buttons
My iPhone X has been “protected” in the Moab case since I got it. I finally decided to replace the case, because of it’s unattractive discoloration (browning around the edges), and difficulty accessing the side buttons. When my new Otterbox case arrived today, I was dismayed to see that the back of my new IPhone X was shattered!!! The screen was protected by my screen protectors, but the back was obviously not protected by the Moab pricey case!! My phone has never been subject to any unusual wear and tear, but I have dropped it a few times. If you want a case that actually protects your phone, do t buy this one. Trust me... I’ve have many inexpensive case protect my phones better than this one did.

Worked really well
I really couldn't find many iPhone XS cases with a strap and was skeptical of this one since the strap wasn't at the bottom. I just needed it for a long vacation where I use my phone as my camera and didn't want to accidentally drop it in the ocean. It worked perfectly. Now that I'm back, I just left in on instead of putting my original one back on though I took off the strap for everyday use. Will put the strap back on for the next trip. Really good price too.

Beware - older model, not the one pictured. Frayed lanyard.
I was sent the older model, not the one pictured. The case has a big opening for the side right button, leaving that part of the phone completely unprotected. This older model also doesn't have the pictured dial over the mute button, but that isn't that big of a deal. Furthermore, the lanyard was already frayed and needs to be replaced. On the up side, it's nice and grippy, and protects the sides (except for right button) and back. It offers very little protection for screen though.

⭐️ They will give you an old model!
I like the case for its durability, what i hate is the description they put, i thought i was getting the new version of moab instead i got the old one with the flimsy rubber on the power button. Really hate it. It feels the case will give in in that part.

Old version
You may recdeive old version. Old version has odd feature. Even though I ordered a new version that is shown in product pictures, I received old version which has wide open side for the power button. Returning.

Colors accurate?
Ordered the green color excited to get this case. That is until my case came in showing a blue color. Not sure if it was intentional, but the color looks nothing like the pictures.
