Easy installation. Replaced to increase RAM memory.

The headline says it all. It's RAM. It's old-style RAM. It works.Ok, fine. Not only does it work exactly as it's supposed to, but this ram would be perfect for other things. Like "hand-crafted" jewelry you can sell on etsy to all the girls who want to prove they're a 'nerd' as they post their pics to IG from their iPhone.Or my personal favorite, as an add-on to your keychain, so you can advertise to all of the woman around you that you have no intentions of ever entering into a meaningful relationship.I, of course, used this in an old I3 laptop, and it worked with no issues.

My several-year old Acer Aspire AM3470G-UW10P was lagging badly. I boosted the stock 4GB RAM to 6GB with some RAM I had laying around and the improvement was negligible. I contemplated getting a new computer, but they're (like everything else these days) expensive. I rolled the dice on this 16GB RAM upgrade for $40, (the maximum this PC will accept) and I'm very glad I did. Bootup is still pretty slow because of the programs I have in the background that want to update themselves (antivirus, etc.) and a bunch of networked hard drives, etc., but once it gets fully booted up, it's MUCH faster. No longer do I have to wait forever for my web browser to launch or listen to the 30 second grinding away of my hard drive while I save a photo or a word document. My other PC is a much newer 8-core i5 machine with 24GB ram and an SSD drive, and while this older computer isn't a speed demon like that one, it now holds its' own and keeps up with daily tasks quite well. If you have a quad-core PC that's a few years old with 8 or less GB of memory that's compatible with this RAM, this is a very worthwhile and dirt cheap way to speed it up.

My aging Optiplex 9020 exhibited the power cycle of death where it keep cycling power without showing the bios screen. After some diagnostics, I determined that it was a bad RAM stick. I can't believe I can find 16GB of RAM for $20, and the pair works. I did some RAM tests after installation to make sure that the entire RAM space is tested - no issues. For $20, even if it lasts a year or so, it would be worth it for me, but I suspect it will last longer, considering how tech and manufacturing have matured. I'm satisfied with this purchase. I generally don't give 5 stars, but this one comes really close; I'll reserve that last star for a revised edit after a few months.

Needed more memory for the woefully inadequate 4GB configured as "adequate" for Windows, which came in an old LENOVO 7033A2U. As always, the first major version update to Windows rendered it essentially obsolete.The machine is now getting a second life running a real O/S and being used as a UniFi controller. These RAM sticks met the specs at a very reasonable price and have performed as expected with the new O/S and the control software. Installation is standard for this type of RAM, and it has remained stable over the wide range of temperatures in which this machine has to operate.

The Computer I received had only 4 GB updater the memory to 8GB to use the second ram space to decrease the time to download files. Have had no problems. Items arrived a day early. It was worth the cost.

About a year ago I purchased a used Dell Optiplex 780 Small Form Factor computer. It originally came installed with Windows 7 and 4GB of RAM but recently upgraded to Windows 10. A few months later I upgraded the HDD with an SSD. It made a big difference. Over time and a few installed programs later it was starting to be less responsive and programs were taking longer to load.Looking through task manager I could see the total memory usage with several programs running was showing well over 70%. Thinking I might need a memory upgrade I did a little research and several people were saying some Dell computers were finicky with regards to RAM upgrades. One manufacturer in particular was recommended and said it was guaranteed to work but quite expensive at the same time.Long story short . . decided to purchase the TECMIYO 16GB (4x4) Kit based on its high user ratings. A couple days later the package arrived and the new RAM modules were installed. Everything went without a glitch and an overall easy upgrade. Happy to say my new old system is a lot snappier and responsive now and total memory usage is showing just over 40%. Highly recommend this RAM! Great price and works on a Dell 780 computer!
