10" Banneton Bread Proofing Basket Set-Brotform Rattan Basket with(Cloth Liner,Dough Scraper,Bread Lame,Instruction) for Rising Round Crispy Crust Baked Bread Making Dough Loaf Boules

This is my first loaf with a banneton ， I purchased the 10 inch banneton and glad I did.Really like the banneton and how it gently dries the dough just a bit on the outside when proofing (helps hold the shape it seems). The linen liner worked ok, then I got rice flour to dust it with before I put the loaf in. Now it works fabulously and releases the dough leaving the loaf undisturbed.It looked beautiful and tasted the same，For the first use I wiped the inside of the banneton with a damp cloth then lightly sprayed the banneton with water and dusted with 1/2 rice flour and 1/2 AP flour. I heavily dusted the banneton with this same flour mix prior to first loaf proof. I only cover the top of the banneton with plastic during proofing (not the sides) so the air gets to the sides of the dough.. but does not dry out the top. Also I proof in the refrigerator. Highly recommend.

I have found lower priced bannetons need prep to remove piece bits. Just takes a little TLC when you first prepare this. I used a spray bottle with water and rice flower and bushed it off after it dried. Now when I use this to proof bread after the final shaping, I use regular unbleached flower. When I'm ready to put the bread in the oven, I gently loosen the sides and it dough comes right out. Love it.

The cutter supplied with the basket is very low quality and unusable.

The basket looks and feels really sturdy - I can't see why it and the cloth liner won't last for years to come. The lame is just that - lame. That's the sole reason why this product gets 4 stars instead of 5.

Im relatively new to bread making so I'm glad I read other reviews and a few blogs before using this. My loaf came out pretty well if I do say so myself. It kept its form and rose well. Im excited to continue to hone my bread-making skills and this definitely helps with the quality as well as the aesthetics

I bake bread from scratch every weekend and could not wait to greet the UPS man. I immediately mixed up a batch of dough so I could try my new kitchen staples. Works wonderful and makes a beautiful loaf of bread. Would highly recommend for anyone who likes to make artistic style breads.

I love making my own bread. It is the best helper for now on. If you are not making too much dough, this is the number one option. Not to big but strong enough to hold the dough and the bread. I strongly recommend it

Banneton is big, and the linen is stitched and stretches around the outside. Be sure to use plenty of rice flour so nothing sticks. Didn't realize how big a 10" bread would be, but no one in our family is upset about more bread. 🙂
