Quick setup and does what it says on the tin ... until it doesn't
PWAY 4K@60Hz 4x1 HDMI USB Switch: I bought this after returning a competitor's switch, which had a few issues.Pros:1. Delivered as expected - on time with all required parts ... 4x HDMI cables included, so no compatibility issues or extra purchases required.2. Installed and working < 5 minutes.3. Quick (split-second) switch for (generic) Keyboard and ergonomic Mouse (with back/fwd buttons working).4. Solid build.Notes:1. Currently only HD monitor, so not yet tested 4K@60Hz.2. Shared Monitor displays 2-5 seconds after switch - not a problem for me.Cons:1. The only real issue so far - the shared monitor loses the extended display layout: windows I've moved to the extended display are moved back to the laptop display everytime I switch. Almost docked a star for it, but I get that the switch can't really track that ... maybe there's a way around it in windows.2. Slides around on the desk - no brackets or non-skid base ... easily fixed with a little thought.Update - 7 months later and the HDMI port has failed - still works for keyboard and mouse, but have lost easy switch of the shared monitor, which is a bit of a blow as that was critical for this kvm ... back to the drawing board.

It works great, but why of why all the blue LEDs
The unit works great. Running the video at 1920x1080 and the display is rock steady. The only annoying thing is all the blue LEDs on the front. Each channel has two blue LEDs. One to indicate that the channel is connected to something, and the other to indicate that the channel is selected, and the LEDs are bright. I mean light up the room at night bright. It's made worse because the unit is mounted at my head height above a monitor. Because of the brightness it was sometimes difficult to quickly see which channel is active. In the end, I stuck little bits of blue electrical tape over the 4 groups of LEDs. This reduced the brightness considerably to a point they didn't burn my eyes out. All metal construction, good quality sockets make this a rock solid piece of kit. Just stop with all the blue LEDs.

Perfect!
Easy to install. "Plug 'n' Play" as they say. No programming or fiddly connections to worry about. Worked straight from the box. Remote switching (keyboard operation) works great, so I don't have to have the device within my reach. I have "Velcro" strip attaching it to the side of my desk where it is out of the way, leaving me with no trailing cables all over my desktop. There is a delay of a couple of seconds between changing channels and the switching from one channel to another to actually occur, but this is not a problem, just an observation.I use a wireless keyboard and mouse, with the associated wireless receiver USB "dongle", which I have plugged into the switcher box and all is working fine, so it appears that it DOES allow for this scenario.Great little device if you have up to 4 computers or other devices the share a single keyboad/mouse and HDMI TV or monitor. NOTE : The device does not support discreet audio (Stereo Phono or Jack plug) but does switch the audio via the HDMI cable to the TV or monitor so, if you were desperate for these connections, e.g. to plug into a sound system, then you could use an HDMI "breakout" box/audio extractor (about £16.00 on amazon)

Elegant Solution
This looks and feels like a high quality little unit right out of the box. I connected up the supplied HDMI and USB cables as per the instructions and everything 'just worked'. I can now switch between my PC, two Raspberry Pi's and laptop at the touch of a button or the shortcut.Does exactly what you'd want a KVM to do.I don't get any delay when switching to / from any of the attached devices
