They sent double-sided razors which don't even fit in this freaking thing!

I thought it was going to be cheeply made. I was wrong! Cheap price and great appearance. Refills are sharp!will buy again:)

I got this for my partner as he really wanted a cut throat razor for trimming around his beard and neck. He loves it uses it once or twice a week and rarely cuts him self using it. Doesn't come with any blades, comes in a nice little storage bag which is a nice little extra.

To make it clear from the start; this isn't a 'cut throat razor', it's a shavette - in that it holds double edge razor blades and acts a straight edge razor. It says as such in the item description, to be fair. It also states that no blades come with it, which wasn't an issue for me, as I use a double edge safety razor and have blades already.The reason I got a shavette was because I wanted to clean up my beard lines and had been recommend one of these styles of razor by my barber.There are plenty of these types of razor on Amazon but the Saaquaans ones looked of a decent quality and the price seemed right with good reviews. It sat on my wish list until a lightning deal made me bite.The razor arrived sharpish on Prime delivery and the seller had been in contact prior to delivery to update and offer any advice if needed, which was a nice touch. They also got in touch after delivery to check if there were any issues (good comms).On arrival, the razor was in a thin leather effect pouch, within a sealed plastic bag and had instructions on how to fit blades within. Presentation was pretty good.Build quality is good, especially considering the price. Fitting blades wasn't an issue at all - I used Derby blades (which I already had) snapped one in half in the wrapper and fitted it to the head of the shavette. It stays put within the head of the razor between the 'jaws' of the head. I haven't had the blade move during use so far.I took it easy with the first shave and no blood was spilt! Using King of Shaves shaving gel and Proraso shave cream there was no irritation either. Best of all, the lines for my beard are crisp and straight - its just easier to do with this over a DE razor. I did my neck also and it provided a nice, close shave. Just take your time would be my advice.Time will tell how the razor lasts - I'm wondering if the hinge will loosen off too much over time and make the razor overly slack to hold. It's not connected with a screw so there's no way to tighten it back up if it does unfortunately. If the quality proves lacking, I'll update the review as such but I have no concerns just now.Overall; a nice looking, decently build shavette razor, provided with a pouch, for a good price.I recommend.
