Not a bad balisong but could have used some small improvements. Trainer blade could be beveled to remove sharp edges. Barings are to small preventing finer tuning. Clip is to large and not very solid,(easily removed). After some lite sanding of edges and putting loctite on the smaller screws it holds up and flips pretty well(pivot screws have loctite out of the box).It has a nice ring to it as well when closing. Overall not bad for the price just needs a little cosmetic work.

I moved up from Spyderco’s Baliyo™ pen (a superior entry tool, especially for minors) to this purchase. The feel is what I expected, pinching and all.Don’t get me wrong, it definitely works as it should. Progressing from a pen imitation to a proper imitation takes some getting used to, mostly in the weight and grip.The textured fiberglass handles are grippy without sticking, the hinges move smoothly, and the blade play is acceptable. All I hoped for, and I got it.The pocket clip doesn’t thrill me, but I appreciate the effort. It doesn’t hold on to thin material too well, so don’t slap it onto your yoga pants.The cutout in the “blade” is half of what drew me to it; As I’ve flipped the trainer, I’ve half-caught the tips of my fingers a number of times in that same opening. Be wary of it whilst practicing [new tricks] with the Uxcellmo for the first time, lest you end up twisting a finger. Be especially cognizant whilst performing aerials and shortstops.It’s still an inert piece of metal until you pick it up and start messing around with it- you only have yourself to blame if you manage to hurt yourself using it.As such, I recommend you pick this item. It’s still pretty cost-effective even now, and features a build quality that is more than appropriate for the price. It’s either this or the plethora of “Swiss cheese” trainers on the market- your call.

This trainer is a great tool/toy to practice tricks with. It helps anybody who cannot carry live blades in public and/or just not want to risk cutting him/herself. The trainer runs on bearings so it has a smooth gliding action. The training blade is not aggresive which helps others easily identify it as not a real blade. It creates a nice ringing sound as the tang pins hit the pillars of this trainer. The handles are G-10 and done really well. The overall construction is done very well. It has a nice balance to it. The weight is a bit noticeable at the tip of the dull 'blade' and the spacers. The steel liners are not 'jeweled' in design and add a good amount of weight. It is larger in length, larger in thickness and heavier than both a standard 51 and a flytanium version. It also has a standard spring latch which makes it very nice for those who don't flip latchless. Overall, I am very pleased with his trainer and recommend it for anyone who want a good trainer for a good cost! I would re-buy this any day! It bears no replica markings and the dimensions are different which is good so people cannot pass this as a different brand's product. Highly recommended for the price.

Sometimes the bolts would fall off but my 10 year old used electrical tape and it works great. Also he removed the latch because that too was falling off. Over all it's works great and it's been a few months.

Actually a good trainer. Steel liners add some weight, g10 is finished well, hardly any deflection.Took off a star because the adjustable latch doesn't stay adjusted, no live blade option, and it isn't just pink like the images show, it's rainbow colored, mostly pink on one side, green/blue/purple on the other (my daughter wanted a pink butterfly knife, but she still likes the rainbow color.... Guess it had enough pink to meet the minimum 8 year old girl requirement....). These are very minor complaints. Seems like it will last.on the plus side, it has a nice steel "clinking" sound as you flip it. Cool.

Amazing knive, flips really well, but it’s a bit thiccer than I thought.
