"Discover the power of the Twin Jet Max split fin by SCUBAPRO. The Twin Jet Max Fin features a patented split-hydrofoil shape to deliver optimum power with minimum effort, plus dual-compound construction, which enables SCUBAPRO to fine-tune performance and optimize maneuverability and diver comfort. | The spring strap allows you to easily and quickly slip on your fins. No struggling with adjustments or getting a twisted strap over your boots. The spring strap system simply rolls onto your heel and keeps the fin snugly, yet comfortably, on your foot. Its added durability and sturdiness make your Twin Jet Max fins fit for a lifetime. | There are three primary variables to consider when selecting a fin: power, efficiency and fit. The more water a fin moves, the greater its kicking power. Furthermore, fins that transfer a greater percentage of a diver's kicking effort into forward motion are considered to be more efficient. TWIN JET MAX FINS do just that!"

Heavy, Industrial, Fast, Furious!!! Excellent fins, yet huge!
Pros:These are exceptional fins and possibly the best money can buy at this point in time. Extremely easy to put on with spring-loaded heel piece as well as a removable plastic foot cover to easily slide your scuba boots into. I went with an over-the-ankle O'Neill 5mm Dive Boot with Zipper. This specific boot has a lip on the back of the heel which worked perfectly to lock in the spring tab right over the top to keep the entire setup perfectly snug. As far as the split fin design, it takes a few tries to get a great pattern down. I recommend practicing in a swimming pool before using in the ocean. Also, keep in mind, these are buoyant fins. They want to keep you parallel to the water's surface (which is a great thing for snorkeling). These fins are built to last - very durable!Size:I wear a size 11 shoe (nike, reebok, adidas, ect). I went with a large twin jet max. Between the fins, and my size 12 boots; it was a flawless fit. I couldn't have been happier with the whole set!Downsides: (All of these are not bad issues, just a heads up.)-These fins are VERY LONG! 22-24" or so. They do not fit in normal fin bags or even a carry-on luggage.-These fins are HEAVY! So watch your luggage weights and accommodate when traveling.-The plastic insert is absolutely perfect for slipping your boot into the fin; however it is not attached in any way. I almost lost it when a wave hit the boat and I was putting my fins on by the water. I would recommend attaching with a very fine string of some sort to prevent separation/losing this piece.-Finally, I used these in the ocean waters. I would recommend rinsing always with fresh water or let them soak, while rinsing the spring back and unbuckling to oil after each use.

Great SCUBA fins.
Great fins for SCUBA divers. My 20 year old daughter and 18 year old son are both certified divers. I bought them both these fins, and they say these are the best fins they have ever used. They had no problems fighting the currents at 60+ feet. We dove for several days in the FL Keys for lobster and spearfishing, and they had absolutely no complaints. They say they have excellent propulsion. The spring heel makes them very easy to get on and off, and there is no need for adjusting straps. The fins run big. My son wears a size 12 shoe, and the large fins were WAY too big even with dive boots. We returned them for mediums, and they fit perfectly. The seller was quick and very responsive. If you are a woman definitely go with the small, and you WILL need dive boots to fill these out. Like I said earlier, they are for SCUBA, not free diving or snorkeling.

BROKE IN 3 places on first dive trip used
I am immensely disappointed in these fins! Bought them in February after booking a dive trip to Bonaire. Took them to a pool to try out and they felt great. Got on the dive boat 2 weeks ago and the first time I put them on, the plastic piece that covers the fin strap connection broke off. That's only a cosmetic problem, but the second dive part of the actual strap buckle broke off, necessitating a quick fix on the dive boat. Finally, by the 3rd day BOTH loops used to put on the spring straps broke. This seller had a 30-day return policy and I cannot reach them through Amazon. TOTAL WASTE OF $173 dollars!

I've been using the same old standard Scuba Pro fins for over 20 years. I decided it was time! This is my first experience with split fins and I really love them. I'm 61 with arthritis and legs that aren't in as good shape as I wish they were, so I think these really offered that extra ease and push I need in the water. They seemed heavy, undoubtedly durable but once I was in the water I didn't notice that at all. I've never used spring heel straps before, now I know I'd never go back. For some reason I do feel like I should have an extra pair of springs on hand.

Beware of sizing issues.
All of the sizing charts indicated that I should order size large fins based on a shoe size 12. When they arrived, I noticed immediately that the spring straps seemed too loose and in fact, one was about 3/4 of an inch longer than the other. (See pictures) I tried them on with 3mm (size 11) booties and as suspected, they were way too loose. The foot pocket was a bit too large, but would have been ok if the spring straps were snug. The straps barely made contact with my heals at all and certainly would have slipped off kicking in any current. I returned them and ordered mediums which are a bit snug, but not uncomfortable and seem like they will stay on.

AMAZING FINS! We dive in the northwest
My dad and I have been diving for about ten years with the same cheap fins we started with. So for his 50th b-day I decided to get him these fins, as they seemed to be a step-up from his dream fins (scuba pro twin jets). All i can say is....AMAZING FINS! We dive in the northwest, and these fins handle the current well and are resilient. Definitely a huge step-up from the previous fins and we'll worth the price.

I've been diving for almost 30 yrs, Divemaster for 25 and one of those that don't change things much. I have been using my scubapro gorilla fins for the last 22yrs and finally gave in to try these and just love them, especially the spring straps. I just worn these on 4 dives in Cozumel and can't say enough good things about these fins.

Best set of fins you could buy for the money ...
Best set of fins you could buy for the moneyThat are a bit big n take a few dives to get used to but that won't stop you from falling in love with them.I wear a size 12, so I bought a boot that is a solid fit , then ordered the large on the fin size. Fits perfect, now just being in the ocean for hours on end will really show how well made these fins are
