The Wild Unknown Tarot Deck Cards

I give this tarot deck four stars because of the card stock used and the display box. The cards are very luxurious in that they feel matted and are thicker than your normal everyday deck of cards. Many tarot decks are simply the same material as your ordinary playing deck. These have weight in them and do feel good to touch. They are not glossy but rather matted. The box is is made of a thick cardboard and looks luxurious also. They are meant to be a permanent case for the cards. It even has a black ribbon so that you can easily pull out the whole deck out of the case.As far as the artwork, it is unique in that wild animals are used to symbolize such things as the knight and other suits. The symbols are easy to read and are for the most part logical designed. They do give you a hint as to what the cards mean unlike some cards that are just simply artistic. The art style is very simple and are obviously not done by a heavy weight. It looks very quaint and simply drawn. So if you are looking for highly detailed or works by highly gifted artists, this is not it. But its quaint style is very charming and do serve their purpose in that they give you a hint at what the card is all about. There are one of two cards that could have been done better as far giving a hint to what they mean. But for the most part, this deck is well thought out and would be perfect for a beginner. Even though this deck simplifies things, it can also be used by veteran card readersThis deck's charm is also within the book that is a guide for it. If you are going to purchase this deck, I recommend the book as it's style lends itself to it and explains the cards in its own charming and concise descriptions. For some this might be it's strength as it is simple and very basic. The text itself is in handwritten form and lends to its charm.I highly recommend this deck of tarot cards to collectors as it is quite a unique take on this divination tool. But the book should come with it as it is part of the charm of this collection.

If I could give a 0 star I would. This item is fake. The deck came in a tuck box that was a bit bigger than a normal deck of playing cards. Authentic wild unknown decks come in a two piece box with ribbon (like the description states). The cards I received are thinner than a traditional deck of playing cards and a first edition deck of wild unknown is on the thick side. The description isn’t just “off” or “lacking”, it’s a lie. The photos are of a mass production 3rd edition next to the fake first edition.

I absolutely love this deck and I was extremely excited when I had received it as a present. I'm only a beginner tarot reader and this deck is helping me study the art a little more in depth due to it having a more simplistic design. I love the box that it comes in as well as the chart explanation of the different cards and their overall meanings. The box is a thicker material and slides off rather than having a basic playing card box and there is even a ribbon to pull the cards out. The cards themselves are a thicker material and almost have a softening touch to them due to the cards being matte.
