Gevalia Traditional Roast Ground Coffee (12 oz Bags, Pack of 3)

Folks let me tell you...I am not a "coffee drinker" for the most part. I would only drink coffee in the cold months to warm up. I LOVE the smell of coffee brewing and I wish it would taste the way it smells but was always disappointed. Then I came across Gevalia and OMG...! The taste is so delish I drink coffee every day! Of course, with inflation and everything increasing I understand why it costs more, but let me tell you, whenever I can find a good deal, I will stock up!!! I only buy the traditional because remember, I'm not a coffee drinker so the taste is not strong unless I make it strong, and it still has a great taste. I really cannot say there is anything that I dislike about this product. I'm a HUGE fan of Gevalia! Enjoy...

Traditional Roast has the best flavor the Gevalia coffees. I've been buying it through Amazon for a few years now because the local supermarkets have become hit or miss, both on availability and price. even on Amazon, sometimes I find that the Gevalia ground coffee absurdly expensive. when that happens, I buy whole bean and grind it myself, which is a PITA and not preferred. 1st world problems. when I can find the ground coffee for less than $7/bag, that's perfect. this time I found the best price was the 3-paks, but the kicker was that the estimated delivery was 6+ weeks out. I sucked it up, and made other coffee arrangements to hold us over in the meantime, but the package arrived today. it only took about a week from when I ordered it. I know I'm spoiled with so many things available with Prime/1-day shipping, but a week is great considering what I was told to expect. yay for a great price, and HUGE yay for seller under-promising and over-delivering!

I drink two cups a day. It's the best, most smooth coffee out there. I'm woefully addicted. Sometimes hard to find locally, so I say screw it and buy it from Amazon that way I never run out.If you haven't tried it yet, give it a shot. So smooth and delicious.

I really like the flavor of this coffee but it takes a lot to make a pot (maybe because of being fine ground) so it doesn't go very far. I don't use it as often as I would like because it doesn't last long.

I am not very good at describing tastes, all I can say is that this is THE very best coffee I have ever experienced. It is a little pricey, but well worth it. I started out with ‘this will be my treat on the weekends coffee’, but I am now contemplating making this my daily grind. UPDATE - THIS IS NOW MY DAILY GRIND!

I’ve been a customer of Gevalia since they were a subscription service in the 1980s. There are very few coffee roasters that make a great light roast. It takes way more skill than burning the beans to blackness. I hate the taste of charred coffee. I like the subtle sweetness of great beans roasted lightly. The misconception among Starbucks drinkers is that light roasted beans means weaker “lighter” coffee. That is false. They are simply conditioned to accept burnt beans. As for dark roast coffee such as French or Italian roast coffee, the trick is to NOT burn the beans to retain sweetness just before the beans turn to charcoal and produce bitterness. I resist ignorant coffee.
