Gamewright Long Cow - an Udderly Ridiculous Card Game for 8 + Years Multi-colored, 5"

What a great game! It only took one play-through for my kids and I to grasp, and though it says ages 8+ it was no problem for my five year old. The game plays fairly quickly (about 20-30 mins) and is a perfect mix of take-that, set collection, and deck building.The theme pairs very well with the mechanics (ie feed the cows to make them longer!). At first it's a lot of silly take-that fun but eventually the depth starts to come through and players realize the importance of defense and also a well planned attack. Finding the right moment to steal a long cow without getting thwarted, protecting your most valuable cattle with a barn or branding, knowing when to draw cards or playing it safe to get the cow parts you need...there is plenty to think about if you want!Overall it's a lot of fun over and over. The art and theme are beautiful, and more importantly add value to the gameplay. Long Cow is not just your basic take-that game with a silly paint job, everything in that milk carton works together to make a great game.

The cow award that moos broke the same day (it no longer moos). I'm actually quite happy about that, so thank you for that! Anywho, this game is so easy and so simple, yet challenging (luck of the draw). I love Gamewright games, and this is one of my favorites! My sons are 6, 9, and 11. I think this game is fun even for big kids like my husband and I. I think we'll be playing this one until it falls apart!

Great family game! Does not disappoint.

I'm not going to review this based on my missing cards because that wouldn't be fair. It was a "warehouse deal", but the condition was "like new" completely intact... the packaging/milk carton box is freakin adorable, and when you tip it it moos, so that is cute. I just have no idea how to play it if it's not complete. The rules don't give a list of cards, so I have no clue which ones are missing... anyhow, if you're is intact (my guess is that this is a rare occurrence) then you will like this game. It's cute, and the gameplay itself seems fun and unique.

I ordered this for my 12-year-old brother for Christmas. When he opened it he thought that it looked too young for him, but as we started playing it he really enjoyed it (as did all of his older siblings up to age 24). It is easy to learn, and it plays really quickly. By the third round it had lost its charm for us older people, but I think the 12-year-old will want to play it more in the future.

I bought this game for my 9 y/o grand-daughter who absolutely loved it. And even better, her Dad and I enjoyed playing it as much as she did. There are some twists & turns along the way, so you don't know who is going to win until the very end. Awards are also given for the biggest cow (add a compatible "belly" section to an existing cow but only if you have a food card to go with it) and the largest herd. It's a hoot! Game packaging is fantastic and kudos to the artist who designed the cows. I love Gamewright games.June 2020: Still loving it as much as ever!

So fun. We gifted this to my teenager. She loved the "mooing" can device enclosed and the milk carton shaped box. It is a fun family game. Not too hard to learn and not too long of time required to play a full game.

Very fun game. 6yr old likes it but we omitted some of the rules for him for easier play.

We got this game a few years back for our 5 yo son at the time and it was an instant hit. He loved the game! It is very entertaining even for us as adults. Love it!
