Fervent Silicone Carbide Combination Stone for Sharpening Both Knives and Tools (Multicolour, CSSC109)

What appears in the Product Photo is not what was given. Only AFTER opening the sealed packet could one see that the Name of the brand is right across the entire length of the stone - BOTH sides. If the Brand name was PRINTED, it would have still worked. However, the product name was engraved into the length of the stone. Being a first time user of a Sharpening Stone I did not realise what impact the engraving would have while actually sharpening a knife. Only when I attempted to sharpen did I realise the impact of the uneven surface created by the Alphabets across the face of the stone. Thus the surface was not flat. Only the Top and bottom had little space (about 1.5 inches) that was smooth that could be used. That is not sufficient . Disappointed. Beware of what you could get.

First impressions -BAD - because just upon touching the surface , my hands had a layer of black fine dust . ( Like coal )Upon using it , it started to show a under layer plastic upon which this black layer material was put .Doesn't sharp at all even after 50 strokes on both sides.

I have bought this product to sharpen the Knifes in my house, but not to sharpen my Wife's, and this product really good and sharpens the Knifes very quickly and smoothly just like a new Knifes but the stone dimensions are very small which is hard to use in hands

I have been using another sharpening stone from cumi, which was great too. Since the other one broke after I dropped it, purchased this one, as it cost lesser and I wanted to try a different product.The packing and the stone at first look, was not very pleasant. The product came in a white box and looked kind of a marble.On using the product I felt it was smoother than the previous one I owned, and took quite some time to get the edge as desired. After around 15-20 minutes on the rougher side. Sharpened on the finer side for about 10 min.At the end the results where great and the edge was super smooth.Tried cutting paper and ripe tomoato with it, I was pleased with it.Attaching a few pics, that might help u make a better decision. The knife was previously blunt and I would normally squeeze the tomato tring to cut it.

In amazon app quoted price is too high compared to the printed price on the product. How ever the product is good and value for the money

This stone is meant for polishing and sharpening tools and knives. Does it do that well? I do not think so, but then you will tell me that I do not know how to use it. The thing was made carelessly, the corners are chipped and the particles are not bound well. The grits are not mentioned but they take long time to cut. I shall try more knives and report later. Poor quality control - in one word.

A very under rated product I feel. Not this model in particular, but in general. Once we start using it, its like how we managed all those years. Its easy to use and we will get used pretty soon. Could watch some youtube videos as well for the optimal usage tactics.for this particular product, the packaging was average and thus some edge damages. Not deal breaker, but scope for improvement. The rough surface is the one which we may usually use and thats it we get all sharp knives.

Not high quality stone. The edges were chipped and there were holes in the flat surface. Also getting worn out easily. Also the product description states the stone size as 15CMX11CMX6CM but the seller sent a stone of 15CMX5CMX2.5CM
