You have to read….just saying….
Wonderful book. Bought as a gift and it did not disappoint. Beautiful piece and a well researched history of an amazing aircraft.

Superb images
Amazing collection of photos. If you are fan of the Concorde, must have. Love the quote "The Miracle of Concorde is that its revolutionary, iconic design is purely functional"

Great visual history of the Concorde
This book chronicles the rise and abrupt end of supersonic flight via the Concorde jets. Lawrence Azerrad has done a nice job turning his passion for Concorde and his personal collection of related design, ephemera and imagery into a light design history of the jets. The book design is precise, well-considered and beautifully austere. I appreciate the look into this seldom-covered topic and the path Lawrence has taken from curating this collection to sharing it with the world through the book.My only quibbles are:-I would have loved the book form factor to be even larger to better highlight the imagery.-It would have been great to have even more cultural context and interviews with the principal creatives responsible to really flesh out the design history.

Mainly shows the British Concorde; not the French
I know I was lucky to fly la Concorde three times back in the 70s and that I shouldn’t complain. But I am disappointed that this book devotes so few pages to France’s Concorde (the one I flew) and virtually 95% of its images are of the British version. Perhaps it’s the Francophile coming out in me (I’m American of German and Swedish descent). I love both countries. But the interior of France’s Concorde was a step above the British version. That said, there were two interior photos that took me back and I do remember all of the souvenirs (from the toothbrush and match books to the special boarding cards).

Beautiful, fun book.
This book is full of interesting photos and information about the art of the Concorde design- from the shape and livery of the plane, the apparel of the crew, to the image and glamour that futuristic supersonic travel represented to the 60s and 70s. It’s a nice manageable size, too.

Picture book
It’s just a picture book. I was hoping for a much more definitive history…
