The Complete Frankenstein: 200-year Edition: Including both the 1818 and 1831 Versions, and Bonus Chapter: Farewell, Dear Prometheus Paperback – August 19, 2017

Text is easily legible but has quite a lot of vagaries in the typesetting, such as arbitrarily separated paragraphs and sometimes missing letters in some of these unneeded paragraphs separations.Correct otherwise with some interesting additional materials.

I forgot how to read the prose of the very early 1800's, but once immersed, I was delighted at how engrossing a tale it was. As I read I realized the influence Rousseau and Voltair must have had over Shelly's thinking, ponder mankind in a natural state, and the moral and ethical questions that we still are faced with. Is Artifical Intelligence anything less? How does it differ? An interesting companion series to read might be Margaret Atwood's Crake and Oryx" Trilogy.

This volume contains Both the First & Second Editions of the classic Frankenstein story. The only strange addition is the final two chapters written in 2017 & INCLUDED as part of the 1831 Second Edition. Be warned: although these additional chapters are fun reading they were NOT (of course) written by Shelley & WHY they are Included is a mystery to me ---- !!

Amazing! I’m so happy with it. Larger than I thought and so nice quality. Book is very smooth to the touch and it includes photos which I wasn’t expecting but is a very nice touch!

In perfect condition. It was a Christmas gift. He was very surprised. He began to read it soon afterward. Fascinating.

Like someone else said here, the stories are intact, but the publishing itself seems of bootleg quality.Case and point, I swear there's a legit (albeit "deep fried" JPEG) still from Doctor Who of David Tennant and his TARDIS on page 164 XDDI couldn't believe it when I saw it, but those sideburns are unmistakable...Other than the crispy pictures and added weird story at the end, I'd say this is a cool book.Perfect surprise gift for a Whovian like myself who's into classic literature XD

I ordered this for my daughter and she loves that it came with both editions. She is really happy with it.

This was a great read of both stories.
