I had hamstring surgery to reattach the hamstrings to my pelvic bone; which means my incision goes from right under the butt to a mid/low thigh in the back. I'd say its about a 4 inch incision. After taking my initial bandage off from surgery which was a pain FAR worse than ripping my hamstring off a bone (I literally screamed and cried as the bandage came off while I never cried and only screamed for the first 15 seconds of tearing the tendon), we had to replace that bandage with our own. I tried the gauze pads with some medical tape that actually froze to my skin when I iced my leg and scabbed my leg and caused more bruising as we tore it off each night since it wouldn't stay on for more than a day or a day. So I went to amazon and found tons of water proof/resistant bandages, but none would cover a long incision until I found these. The actual bandage is very long and has about a 3/4 to 1 inch worth of adhesive on any end. The gauze/bandage was plenty to cover my incision and some. It stuck SO WELL even after 2 days of not changing it, showering, and icing my leg nonstop. It didn't even hurt getting taken off- it was less painful than the stitches getting taken off or a normal bandaid. Because of the placement of my incision, the bandage had to go over my butt and thigh which typically moves a bit and would force a bandage to bubble on the edges- this is so flexible that it never bubbled or separated from my skin even over the butt crease. I had to put the first one on alone because my "homemade bandage" came off while my boyfriend was gone at work, and it needed to be covered. With the help of a mirror and some light, I was able to stick this to my own leg relatively easily considering I couldn't see the back of my thigh and turning around in a mirror on crutches is pretty hard. I would buy these if you need a bandage that is waterproof for anything.

These are great if you had surgery and have to cover a surgical cut to get in the shower so it does not get wet great product

Good waterproof dressing would have given a five but the only problem is the backing on it is hard to peel off because around the edges don’t want to separate from the dress sometimes you will go through two or three before you get one to peel off right

I needed something to cover a surgery wound that was left open to heal for several weeks and this was a lifesaver. I needed something I could shower with, that would fit in an odd spot on my body that got a lot of use (either from pressure being applied or stretching). These were too long for my purposes but no other bandage was the right size. I was able to easily cut these in half and get two uses from one bandage. Even when cut in two they were waterproof (except on the end that was cut obviously), stayed in place for entire days even when I was quite active, and removal was painless. The painless removal is huge for me. My wound was very sensitive along with the area around it. Eventually my skin did get a bit irritated and sore where I constantly had the adhesive applied but even then it was easy and painless to remove. The worst pain was just a light irritation after a few weeks of constantly having one of these applied.These are great for the early stages of healing when you need to keep a wound covered and aren't concerned with getting air around the area. After a few weeks I moved onto a different, cloth-based material that adhered well but was more painful to remove. These are a great choice.

It sticks well, but is a little small for kidney dialysis catheters in protecting it from shower water. You'll have to get creative. What I do is I slide a latex glove over the catheter end (putting catheter into the middle digit glove well) I tape the open end closed with tape against the skin and then add the zinnor adhesive wound dressing over the catheter area and glove. I tend to wrap some of the dressing around the hanging part of the catheter in the glove, because that allows my husband to clean as close as he can beneath the hanging catheter. After his shower, we found the dressing did hold and kept things dry. You just have to be creative with whatever your situation is.

It's a medical dressing. It works as advertised

First off, this was ridiculously hard to apply. The covering is so stiff, you can't peel away and stick as you go like you can on normal coverings of this type. You have to take it entirely off and try to apply. Really? I dare you to try this one handed on your other arm. Even with help.Followed all application instructions and have used this type of covering before. Once I was able to get it sort of in place, it didn't stay stuck down in any area that bent (my elbow) and barely stuck in place on my arm where there was no joint movement.2nd, I assumed it was sterile and after having a reaction on a post-surgical incision where I used it, I went back and looked and sure enough - doesn't say sterile anywhere. What is the point of covering an open area of skin with something that isn't sterile?Totally useless if you are planning on using this on a surgical incision, especially on any area like an elbow, knee, wrist or any other body part that moves... Sent back for a refund and went for the more expensive sterile brand.Would never recommend or use this again. Spend the money and get something else that is sterile and easier to apply.
