Measured value
Received and installed today for 3.5t AC hard start. Have not used it yet but will soon because it's already getting to 80° here in Texas. Measured value out of the box 3-27-2021 was 153 uf. I'll update this after a summer of running. I had Philips cap in there for about 20 years. It measured 134 uf. Shipping was great from this supplier, faster than I expected.

HVAC start cap replacement.
Replaced cap in HVAC. Ratings were the same as the original cap but diameter was a little smaller. In new designs the diameter was reduced because the used was improved. Unit has been working well for 6-weeks without a problem. Would recommend this part to others.

Capacitor testing - revisited . . .
My multimeter was supposed to be able to test capacitance >= 200 micro farads (uf or MFD). As it turned out, it could only test up to about 70 micro farads. As this capacitor has a rating between 135-162 uf, my meter displayed OL, which means "open loop" or "out of limit". I incorrectly interpreted that reading as one of failure of the capacitor. Instead it indicated a failure of my meter to measure 200 uf. Having returned this cap as a result of my misinterpretation of "OL", I can't comment as to the quality of this product, only to the poor quality of my meter and my testing...

Great Value and Prompt Shipment
Did not include the resistor... but we transferred the one from old capacitor and it worked great. Great Value for the money... and prompt shipment. Happy Buyer

Wrong size, over-rated capacitance
Packaging was not completely sealed up on one end when it was shipped, quite surprised it didn’t slide right out during shipping.Advertised size of the capacitor is WRONG. If I knew this I would not have made the purchase, it is much smaller diameter, the length is almost correct. After getting a much smaller capacitor, I decided to run a few tests to see if it had the advertised capacitance...NOPE. I ran several capacitance tests after verifying complete discharge through a resistor. Each test resulted in 75uF, it was very consistent, but nowhere near the advertised and marked rating. I bought 2 of these at the same time and the results on each were identical.Use at your own risk.

Fixed the AC .. compressor wasn’t kicking on to cool
Worked as a replacement start capacitorI used the resistor off of the old (though not necessary (safety from discharge voltage shock) this one was a bit smaller than the original shimmed with a piece of rubber

Failed and vented smoke on first use, could be compressor drag
Update: "The capacitor must disengage after a few seconds or it will overheat. A compressor or fan motor that drags due to damage or worn bearings might cause the capacitor to burn up. A malfunctioning relay switch can also cause the capacitor to overheat by leaving it in the circuit too long."This matched up with the rating on the old one I replaced and the circuit diagram provided by Trane. It was physically smaller than the original but I tested it with a capacitance meter and it was the correct uf. I got new bleed resistors also and replaced that.None the less, started up the A/C and it it hummed for 3 seconds and this thing spewed smoke out the vent port.
