SkinomiTechSkin [6-Pack] Clear Screen Protector for Fitbit Ionic [Full Coverage] Anti-Bubble HD TPU Film

I thought I had scored this but apparently I had not. I was nervous and reluctant to start the process of applying this screen protector but for a $300 smart / fitness watch, I thought it was a risk worth taking. I haven't had great success applying other screen protectors on my phones, tablets, 3DS, or Nintendo Switch, especially not when using a wet application screen protector. I got everything together, lay down a clean microfiber cloth, prepped my watch, and viewed the video on how to apply Skinomi screen protectors (it was for an Apple Watch but the same principles applied.) I'd follow the steps, pause the video, then repeat until it was done. It was so easy! I got it perfectly lined up, with no air bubbles or dust particles. I left it alone to dry and after about 6 or 7 hours, I couldn't wait any longer, I put my Fitbit on. It's been almost a full month since application and it's working wonderfully. I've had a few oops where I was glad to have the protector on my Fitbit Ionic. It's held up, looks great, and I'm much better prepared to apply another one when needed. I will definitely buy more Skinomi products in the future.

I bought this protector for my Fitbit Ionic over a year ago in January 2019. I put one on then, have not replaced that one until today, and even now did not have to replace it, just thought maybe I should because there was a tiny place in the corner where the protector was beginning to come loose. This is the best protector I have ever owned and I have tried a few. It is easy to put on, no bubbles at all, and it stays in place without an issue. Obviously I highly recommend this product and will never use anything else.

It breaks my heart to put a piece of plastic over the pretty glass screen of my Ionic. Unfortunately, I found out the hard way that gorilla glass will indeed scratch. Luckily, it happened (though I don't know how it happened) within the 30 day return period, so Amazon replaced the watch for me.Back to the review, though. Because Fitbit opted for a curved screen for the Ionic, no one can manage to make a glass screen protector, so plastic it is. These are plenty easy to apply. The whole liquid things makes it a snap to line it up on the screen correctly. They look really crappy at first, but then clear up over a couple of hours and look fine, if not awesome.They don't seem to interfere noticeably with the feel or function of the screen.If my experience with this sort of thing holds, they start to curl up and loosen around the edges and need to be replaced pretty regularly. I only installed one today, so that's just speculation.If it keeps my $300 device from getting all banged up, I can't hate it.

First protector started to bubble to the point where I had to replace it. Put second protector on, dipped watch in alcohol to clean it and the second protector came off while sleeping (my fault for soaking protector in alcohol).

I have been using this screen protector for about a month on my Fitbit Ionic and so far it has worked great. I get comes into contact with water on a regular basis. I also wash my Ionic with mild soap and water after I workout to remove sweat. This screen protector has held up well despite all of that. It still looks fresh and new. It does not degrade the sharpness or quality of the display. You really kinda forget that it's even there unless you think about it. All that being said, there is a certain process and instructions on how to apply it. If you follow the directions exactly then these will work like a charm. If you don't then you might have issues. You don't just peel them off the sheet and stick them on the watch. There is more to it than that. Not complicated but a process. They include a link to a video that shows you exactly what to do. Follow the directions and it will work fine. I can't say how long they will last before needing to be changed since I have only been using it for about a month but I'm still on the original screen protector and it has held up absolutely fine. Definitely a must to protect your screen.

Went on easy. I’m pretty rough on watches but I’m still in my first skin. One pack ought to last you forever (or til it’s time to upgrade your watch). The skin has no effect whatsoever on the touchscreen sensitivity.

I would suggest looking at the "how to" on their web site just to compare with the enclosed directions. You do need to keep your fingers wet using the spray bottle enclosed. The only difficult part was peeling the protector off the sheet with wet fingers. Once you have it, it is easy to apply and adjust. I had only one bubble that was easily squeegeed off. Let it dry for the night. It looks great, like there is no protector on the Ionic at all. Touch response is the same as before.

These are cheap and easy to apply so I will continue to use them, but if you're prone to whacking your watch on walls as I somehow have become, its wortwhile to note that white paint will sometimes remain on the film and cannot be removed. I've done this a few times and just end up replacing the screen protector because having white streaks on the screen is rather annoying. Other than that, the product works well to keep the screen from getting scuffed up or cracked, so it's certainly worth the purchase.
