Unbreakable plastic.Numerous compartments of customizable sizes, removable dividers included.Compartments smoothly curved where walls meet floor, making it easy to remove small items.No gap between inside of lid and compartment walls, keeping small items from shifting.Secure latches not likely to break easily.

These are awful. The hinges are molded poorly and pop out all the time.The lid is really flimsy and doesn't hold things tight so the different compartments intermingle.The latches are ok but not very good.The dividers do NOT slide in or out as intended. They fit really tight and bow once they are in.I exchanged the first one I received in hopes that I just got a poorly made box. The second one was just as bad.I have several of the smaller 4003 size boxes of this brand, they are spectacular. I was really disappointed that this product was so lacking in quality.

The boxes I got had build in horizontal dividers that I did not want. Be aware that the large, 16.5 x 9 1.5 has irremovable horizontal dividers in one of its four vertical divisions.Not a big deal most of the time but I bought these specifically for storing long items.
