Does what it says on the tin
I wasn’t all sure about these traps, given that the one question and reviewer image were something to do with baseball hats. As per the photo, you are receiving two flying critter traps and they do work. The yellowjackets I started seeing in my backyard this season were remarkably docile at first. Low in numbers, seemed to just eat and then be on their merry way. So live and let live. Unfortunately, they got a little too comfortable and started nesting under an awning then in a rain gutter. Naturally at this point, greater numbers started showing up and they started getting more protective of the nest. A week or two of that behavior and I decided I didn’t want to be a guest in a massive colony for years to come. So I bought the traps.I filled one of them with a very non-scientific mixture of sugar and water, hung it on a loose nail near where they loved to feed, and waited. The first few days, they wanted nothing to do with it. Then each day I saw that I’d successfully caught one, then two, then five, then I figured it was time to write a review.Easy set up. Pro tip- avoid pissing them off by hammering nails into a structure very close to the nest. They’ll be out and about during the day looking for food and building materials. They’ll find it. And within a day or so, they’ll be floating lifeless, belly up in the water. So far, no beneficial honey bees have shown up in the trap. They’re good homies and I’m glad that they’re unaffected in this minor turf kerfuffle. I will be checking carefully for them each time I empty the trap, and I will update this review to point that out should I discover any. That’s it as far as this product goes, but bee advised it is not the end of your journey should you enlist the services of a trap. Nests are not only physically larger than most species of wasps, but they also can’t fly. So neither a nest, nor the creatures gestating inside of it are susceptible to being trapped. If you, or a hired professional, don’t remove the nest, you still have a wasp problem. They’ll be glad to see you next year and they’ll be grateful to know that the area you half treated is a pretty ok place to begin the cycle anew.

Wasp and insect catcher
First of all the instruction sucks you have to figure out how to really attract the yellow jacket and flying insect the night glow is true it does light do not forget to turn it on under the bottom a switch my catcher attraction is I used maple syrup and water or something a little sweet they buzz right in change it when the water become low do not fill up. The water will spill out of the hole especially put it where the waspes are constantly buzzing ok it works

Not sure what the lights are for.
Maybe too complicated for the wasps at my house. Not really sure what the solar cell powered lights are for, in terms of bug luring and catching. The wasps and hornets aren't out at night around here. The traps are pretty at night though. The traps catch bees but so do any funneled containers with attractant in them. Go the cheaper route and get the kind without the lights for half the price.

Red wasp and yellow jackets are not getting out after entering the trap.
Working as described. I added sugar water, apple cider vinegar and peaches.
