We love the walnut, and the tubes and seals seem really well engineered. So far so good with this product.

The tubes and one-way valves are great. I tested the one-way valves and they do their job*. Just make sure you inspect all valves and tube fit. I had a handful of faulty valves. Some did not have the required opening and others the slit was damaged and do not seal. Some of the tubes do not fit the tops well enough to form a tight seal. Fortunately, the extras they include were able to get me to a full set of exactly 12 functional bean cellars.The wood base/ holder is not very high quality. It is a heavy chunk off wood but is not well shaped. Edges are inconsistently rounded. The face of the block shows the poor joining for the planks. The wood glue stands out very visibly.This only gets 4 stars for the tubes. I plan on replacing the base.

As someone who has really gotten into perfecting the art of espresso this year, this was a fun purchase. It looks great but it also makes my mornings easier by having my coffee beans already measured out, staying fresh, and good to pop right in the grinder and go.While this item is a bit pricey, the finish quality makes it worth it. From the start, the set is packaged really well to prevent breakage. You do need to be a little careful taking it apart though, as the tubes will sometimes stick in the styrofoam packaging. There is a warning in the box though, which is a nice touch.There is a very nice finish to the wood, this looks great on my kitchen counter and almost matches the finish on my cabinets. Even my wife, who complains about my ever growing espresso accessory collection on the counter, likes the look of this. They have included extra tubes included in case you break one, extra silicone rings and also air valves. The included stainless steel funnel is the perfect size for filling the tubes and stores nicely in the block as well. This could be a cool gift come holiday time for any espresso enthusiast (or novice) in your life.

These coffee bean storage tubes are a fantastic addition to my coffee setup. They keep my beans fresh, and the walnut stand looks great on my counter. Each tube holds the perfect dose for a single espresso shot, making mornings so much smoother. It’s a bit like having a mini coffee lab at home! Perfect for anyone who takes their caffeine habit as seriously as I do.

Dark beans (like French roast) filled to the top of the tubes, do not fill an 18 gram portafilter. Tubes should be designed to accommodate these beans at a minimum
