Worked on my 2000 Mystang V2
Works great. Connected to my 2000 Ford Mustang Saleen S281-SC 4.6l V2 with no problems whatsoever. The menu was really small with limited options. I do not know if that is because that's all that's there or if it is reading it correctly. I am going to assume the former. Either way I scanned the car and reset all the modules and then she started right up. Great product. Quick and easy. Codes were clear and easy to read.

Wealth of information for those that know how to decipher it
I had a very basic OBD2 that provided some information but really did not provide much beyond the codes. This OBD2 is a fantastic upgrade from the one that was a simple code screen. The log is great to see the history and get better information. I had a P05B0 code that did not show up on the other sensor and given my reduced gas mileage lately I'm guessing there is a correlation that my dealer service has not seen. I'm not a car guy by any means but I do like to check on the status of the car's health before taking it in for service to get an idea if I'm getting pushed towards things that are not needed. The application was able to provide better detail to send me looking on the internet for what the codes mean and potential issues. The oscilloscope feature with the dashboard was also interesting to see the details of pressures and operating mode on the truck. Way more than I'll ever need but has me interested in learning more about what the diagnostics are telling me. Instructions were easy enough to follow and the download and driver install worked as expected. My laptop only has USB-C ports and the mini adapter did not allow the OBD2 to connect so I did have to use the heavier duty dongle I have to allow USB A connections. Not a big issue...

Stopped Multiple Times
The scanner itself is not bad, but it has stopped multiple times on me. Then you have to restart the program and basically start over. As for options, it has all you want. More than I need. It will read error codes and any diagnostic setting you need. Very good construction, and the cord is long enough to reach your computer while sitting in the vehicle. I would have given a five star if it have the unwanted shut down

Works great with 2015 F150
This Smart Auto Switch OBD2 adapter is an absolute gem! I purchased it specifically to use with my 2015 Ford F150 and the ForScan software, and it works flawlessly. It's exactly what I needed to access the advanced diagnostic and programming features of my truck. The automatic switching functionality is a huge plus. It seamlessly handles the communication between the ForScan software and my F150, without any manual switching or complicated setup. The USB connection is stable and reliable, providing a consistent and uninterrupted connection.I've used it for a variety of tasks, including reading and clearing codes, performing module programming, and customizing vehicle settings. It has performed perfectly every time, providing accurate and reliable data. The build quality of the adapter is also excellent. It feels sturdy and well-made, and the cable is thick and durable.Using this adapter with ForScan has unlocked a whole new level of control over my F150. It's allowed me to diagnose and troubleshoot issues that would have otherwise required a trip to the dealership, saving me time and money. It's also allowed me to customize various features of my truck to my liking. If you have a Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, or Mazda vehicle and plan to use ForScan, this adapter is a must-have. It's an essential tool for any DIY mechanic or car enthusiast. It works perfectly with my 2015 Ford F150 and the ForScan software, and that is all I could ask for. Five stars!

One Success, One Failure, Complicated, But Ultimately Useful
My experience with this OBD2 adapter was mixed. Initially, connecting the device to a 2020 Ford F-150 proved challenging. The physical fit was quite snug, and the software struggled to recognize the vehicle, despite following the provided user guide. I found the guide itself to be rather basic, and lacking in detailed troubleshooting steps. The overall usability was not intuitive, and without prior automotive diagnostic knowledge, I found it difficult to navigate.Following my initial difficulties, I attempted to use the device with a 2018 Ford Escape. My laptop eventually connected after cycling the ignition off and on a couple of times, but displayed a warning indicating limited functionality. Once connected, I observed the reporting screens, which did not reveal any immediate errors. The software offered a range of diagnostic tests but I opted to postpone those for a later time when the Check Engine light is on or there is some other problem. My experience, while ultimately successful, highlighted the potential for connectivity issues and the need for some degree of troubleshooting. The process required persistence and experimentation, and the initial warnings about limited functionality raised concerns about the device's capabilities. All said, I connected to the Escape and observed good information. I'm sure I could have taken actions if any were needed. With what I learned in the process, I expect success when I try the F-150 again. I'm sure I was part of the problem.

Works Well for Vehicle Diagnostics
I installed the necessary software on my laptop and plugged this adapter into both my car and computer. It connected without any major issues, and I was able to access and read the diagnostic codes right away. The adapter works as expected, making it easy to check for potential problems without relying on a mechanic. The software offers a variety of features, but my main goal was simply to confirm that the adapter could read codes—and it did. Now, I have the ability to diagnose issues on my own before deciding on the next steps. If you’re looking for a simple, effective tool for checking vehicle diagnostics, this one gets the job done.
