I love this retro ( ORIGINAL ) Lava Lamp ! I wanted to get my 12 year old granddaughter a Lava Lamp just like I had when I was her age. After looking high and low for one like I had I finally found this one, the Original Lava Lamp since 1965. It is just like the one I had as a kid. It is 14.5 inches tall with chrome base and cap. It's 20 ounces just like I had and comes with a 25 watt bulb. Just plug it in and enjoy ! It comes in various color combinations. For my granddaughter I went with Pink and Blue. She loves it ! Don't be fooled by off brands, go with the " Orignial Lava Lamp " I give it 5 stars !

I’ve always been a fan of lava lamps but it’s been many years since I’ve had one so thank you for the opportunity to have one again and such a beautiful lamp as well. The quality is great and it works just as a good lava lamp should. The price point is an another awesome one it’s worth every penny! Thank you very much. Oh the size with lava lamps are preferable that’s why they make multiple different sizes brightness and warmth is on point.

Let me start off by saying this: This is a great brand. The only brand of Lava Lamps I care to spend money on, in fact. Even after this review of my experience this time around, the company DOES make good products and I'm still gonna buy from them, regardless of the experience I've had this one time.So as I said, I've owned lava lamps before. They do get cloudy after a while(many years). However, this one came cloudy. I ran it through cycles and then left it off for a few days for things to settle and no improvement. So its either close to 10 years old and the chemistry is all outta whack or someone gave it a crazy amount of shaking, to the point of no return. I'm gonna go ahead and void my warranty or whatever at some point and switch out the liquid myself. It's not super difficult and I've done it before but it is annoying and since I paid nearly $40 for it, I feel like i shouldn't have to do this after just receiving it. after 8-10 years? sure. but right after receiving it? absolutely not. I plan to order the orange wax, original base one at some point in the near future so hopefully that one wont be such a project. I'm not gonna return it cuz...well, im lazy and dont want to drive to the post office...but if they wanna send me another one, I wouldn't be opposed to it. Yes, I gave it 4 stars because I've owned this brand for years and this is my first issue with them, ever. I'm more than willing to give benefit of the doubt and blame the shipping process rather than factory defect or selling an old dusty lamp. These things happen and I will adjust and adapt without going to the post office to wait another two weeks for the situation to be resolved.If your lamp gets cloudy or comes cloudy, you CAN fix it yourself if you feel confident in your ability to do so but if you're unfamiliar with the process then don't do it.However, if you're not-lazy and don't hate driving as much as I do, have this issue resolved by sending it off and getting it replaced.They ARE indeed a good company. Sometimes these things happen though.

Bought for my friend who was turning 40 and said she always wanted a lava lamp, but never got one! She loves it- she has it in her office at work!

I ordered this twice, and had to return both after both came with missing parts. Both came in preopened boxes. The first order was missing the stand entirely—it only came with the glass. The second had the stand with it, but was missing the bulb. Frustrated and disappointed.

Bought this for my granddaughter and she just loves it. It also takes me back to the several. I owned in the 70s. Quality is very good and it has been working nonstop for over six months.

Not the happiest about it, the colors are okay and decently accurate to the photo. But my main gripe is that the lava behaves very poorly. It tends to form large bubbles around the fluid that surrounds it making large transparent globs that don't move. Addition there's a bunch of teeny tiny globs that have formed with this one where it looks like there's just dust floating around in it.So it kind of works but is very unsatisfying to watch, I bought a different one from like 15 bucks that was a little smaller and it's working phenomenally. Not entirely sure what's wrong with this one but I've tried letting it rest and starting it up again and doesn't seem to work.

The product listing says that it's chrome, and it looks like stainless steel in the image, but it's just silver plastic. The directions state that you can only have this on for a few hours in a day, which is fine, but there isn't even an off switch, you have to unplug it and leave the cord hanging around. It's a toy quality product. At the very least it functions like a lava lamp should.
