Could be improved
I've had these headphones for about a month now, and they were excellent. The battery life was good, the sound quality was decent, and the range was great. It's really convenient not having a wire to break, or get unplugged. The controls on the side were a big plus as well (although the rubber covering has started to peel off). I subtracted 2 stars because recently they started turning off for no apparent reason. The constantly flashing light on the side can be a distraction as well, and when the headphones are low on battery, they make a loud and annoying series of beeps. This happens every 15 or so seconds, and the only way to stop it is to turn them off. I'll keep troubleshooting the turning off issue, and will update my review if I ever fix it.Edit: Ended up giving up on them, and buying the Tenqa Remixd headphones. These had better sound quality, and a port for a standard headphone cable. I still have those, and they work fine, but I ended up buying a pair of Bose AE2s. These weren't bluetooth, but are fantastic in terms of sound quality. The only reason I didn't buy the AE2w model is because it has this ugly dongle on the side of an earcup, and that totally turned me off them. That, and the fact that the dongle made it $100 more expensive.

great effort with room for improv :-(
pros: light weight and high quality workmanship: these things look cutting edge, the square design is futuristic, and the colors are rich. the built-in microphone works well for phone use, and the sound quality from the mid to the high range is crystal clear - perfect for voice, jazz, classical, and acoustic music. very pleasant when listening to music with high ambient sound effects like birds chirping, rain showering, flutes and harps and that sort of thing - i detect no added distortion. but if your mainstay is rock, rap, or other bassy music with lots of low frequency effects, these phones won't bring in the chest pounding lows. the range is standard 30 ft bluetooth (NOT 328 ft as written in the specs).cons: the square earpiece design, while "way cool" puts a little pressure in places you won't have with a round design, although i think after a week or so of regular use, your ears will adapt. also, the fit, while good because of their light weight, requires finding that "just right" spot on your head to keep them from sliding fwd or bkwd when nodding your head. the earpads also do not swivel much to accommodate different ear angles so these are more suitable for people with flatter ears (like mine). if you got those cute little koala bear ears (like my wife has, LOL) these might not work for you. okay, now this was the deal breaker for me: there is a very loud "ping" that comes through the headset whenever you power the headset on or off or change settings on the paired device. for example: when you first pair the headset with an iphone, ipad, or mac...the "ping" comes through the headset full blast (regardless of volume setting). it will startle you and make your ears ring. also during headset volume adjustment when you reach the lowest(1) or highest(15) setting you get that same loud "ping". the ping also occurs when changing input/output devices within your mac system preferences, and potentially when the battery runs low. for some, it may not seem as loud as it does to me as i do have sensitive ears, however, it caught me off guard a half hour ago and my right ear is still ringing. i really wanted these to work out but, sadly, back to fry's they go.
