Space Dandy - Complete DVD Set (Seasons 1 & 2)

Having been a fan of Cowboy Bebop, I had to check out Space Dandy, and wow, what a ride!Space Dandy follows a young man who travels the galaxy as an alien hunter to register new life forms for the Space Alien Register Center, accompanied by his companions QT, a robot who seems to also be a vaccum cleaner, and Meow, a catlike alien who has run away from home to find excitement in his life. Along the way, the trio have many adventures, but always find the time to pay a visit to the restaurant BooBies (a nod to the Hooters chain).The animation is vibrant and vivid and the comedy is wacky and unpredictable. If you're a fan of the sci-fi western trope and want to see what else it can do, look no further than Space Dandy!

great show! highly entertaining and well made series. BUT this dvd box has a very weird design? all the discs are held in place by a different mechanism in the box, with the last disc in particular being very hard to remove - the press release mechanism just doesn't work and we've had to replace our copy twice. the first copy snapped while we were trying to take the disc out of the box, the second disc arrived already with a crack in the last disc - you might want to get a spare empty dvd case to keep em in so your discs don't get broken by the box, serious design flaw there :/

Definitely different. Funny, and sometimes psychedelic/trippy. Closest thing I can compare it to is Great Teacher Onizuka, comedy wise, but with aliens and space/robots.

Was a great present for my brother, was packaged great and came quite fast so was a great purchase for a birthday. Fast and quality.
