The media could not be loaded. eXtremeRate (EXR) makes some amazing aftermarket products for PlayStation (as well as others) and this one does NOT disappoint!==[DESIGN]==For my Midnight Blue DualShock 4, I picked Chameleon Purple Blue D-Pad buttons to go with it, and boy, does it ever blend in so well. It's got a glossy coating, so while it 'pops' from the rest of the controller, it doesn't overdo it or look out of place. It's just as I imagined it, and I love the new look of my DS4. As long as you can get a somewhat decent colour combination, you can get some sick designs out of it.==[INSTALLATION]==Since I was going to disassemble my controller for another modification anyways, I also decided to swap out the D-Pad buttons also. The actual button installation process is easy, but it's the disassembly that you will need to be careful with. If you're new to DualShock 4 teardown like I was, then watch any one of EXR's videos regarding the DS4 on YouTube, as they've been super helpful.==[FUNCTIONALITY]==I also replaced my DualShock 4 with a "Whole Tactile Clicky Kit" (also by EXR) and this works without issues. The only 'caveat' was that if you tighten the top 2 of the bottom shell screws (closest to the triggers) too much, the buttons may get stuck or feel non-responsive, so I just untightened it about half-rotation (180°) and it worked fine.For others saying these are too tall, I didn't find that to be the case. Perhaps that's the case for you if you simply did the button swap and nothing else because that means you re-used the "silicone pad" whereas I didn't since the clicky kit didn't require that I use that silicone pad. Don't get me wrong - these ARE physically taller than the original D-pads, but by a very small amount. No matter the gaming background (e.g. FPS, Fighting, Platforming, Adventure, Sports, etc.), if you think you can benefit from individual buttons, then don't even hesitate, just get it.==[VERDICT]==After seeing other reports of people saying this does not go well with the "Whole Tactile Clicky Kit" for the DualShock 4, I was worried, but mine turned out fantastic. The colours are really nice, the installation was (a relative) breeze, and the functionality is great. The price is a little bit steep for what you're actually getting, but again, if you think you can benefit from individualized button arrangement, then just go for it.

I had tried to do a split dpad mod by cutting the original dpad, but the controls rattled and felt clumsy. This does it 1000x better, crisp clean controls, no missed inputs, exactly what I was looking for. Instantly was back to beating pure vessel on radiant, and it felt easier than ever. Wish it would have the same look as the original dpad, but the matte finish is actually really nice feeling too.
